What kind of gas mileage is everyone getting on thier Arctic Cat sleds? I have *2002 Pantera 600 EFI, Power Valves, getting 13-15 MPG on decent groomed trails.

10-12 on my 98 FIII 600, on my wifes 2000 Polaris Supersport 550 fan with some carb work 13-16.5 depending on conditions and average speeds.

my 97 ext 600 gets about 10 and my sons 99 Z370 gets 22 -24 mpg. Just bought a Z570 leftover for next season. Will be interested in seeing what it gets for gas mileage.

I have a mountain 98 600 efi and a mountain 2002 600 efi and they both get between 5-7 mph. *That is something Cat needs to work on. *Always have to carry extra gas.

They get terrible gas mileage compared to other sleds

On my trip up north my zr580 efi got 6mpg http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif *threw a new primary clutch on and it helped a little nothing like filling up at every gas station you see and the doo guy was ripping me to. That ended when the doo 7triple blew up and he had to ride the cat back to the truck.

I can get between 90 and 130 miles per tank depending on the go fast lever on my 01 ZR600 EFI

Thats 7.5 to 10.8 mpg

Not that great!

2002 800 cce EFI Gets 12 to 13 mpg, Except while skipping then it burns about a tank every 3 hours. Milage is directly proportional to the amount of fun you are having. Other than that, who cares? http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/baaa.gif

Someone earlier mentioned they bought a Z570. *Well, I put 800 miles on one this year and actually got between 18-20 mpg. *It was fun on a long run and watching my LC buddies running outta gas http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif. *Gotta say this sled can hold its own on the trails too. *Oh yah my top speed I clocked was 91 mph and this is the ABSOLUTE fastest I could get it to go all season. *Still not too shabby for a learning machine.

I ran a lot of Cats over the years and none were too good on mileage. Something you guys have to remember. If you're running clutch kits, these can hurt mileage. A lot of the kits end up throwing more weight at them. This will make your motor pull a lot harder on some machines and your mileage will suffer. I had 3 800 ZRT's and they all lost some mileage after I got them clutched to run right. Over the course of a winter it doesn't amount to that much money though. You just have to eat a little less or drink a few less beers on the trip. Now I'm running a '01 800 MXZ with an RK Tech head and getting 14 - 15 mpg. The head helped a bunch. Went from 500 mains down to 430's.

You guys with the 500`s that *are getting *the low numbers should call D.D. or 1-800-431-cats in canada, because you will go from 8-10 to 13 plus and add power at the same time .My 711cc gets 13-15 mpg and will smoke the 700 /800 *yellow and blue boys doing it !!!The other one *has asuper single pipe ,d.d./dlyton cluthing ,lite weight camplast track ,d.d. power breather v-force reeds, whal brothers disc and gear.By the way this 500 inside is stock and will beat the new crop of 600~s also an added bonus is knocking off the vipers at all speeds. This sled engages at 5000 rpm the 711 5500 rpm.The 500 gets 13-15 all the time now at 8300-8400. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *...............My The Best Cat win..................... http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif

Just bought a used 98 pantera 800 triple recently. *I ran the tank dry in 90 miles. *so I guess I got about 9 miles per US gallon on that trip ( some trail, some powder, some full throttle). *Had hoped for better. *Had heard 800's were pretty good on fuel. *do you think that meant they used a lot??? http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Tweaked '97 ZRT 600 getting about 10mpg on average, best was 14mpg and worst was 7mpg(that was when testing the jetting though). *Stock jetting would only get about 8-10mpg, but now depending on my thumb *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif *I get from 10-12mpg running 340 mains w/pipes and silencer, reeds, etc.

2000 ZRT 800 I get 10-11 1/2. *Once and only once did I get 12 mpg. *I'm gonna keep playing and trying new stuff, but don't expect any better. *Wife's 99 ZL 600 gets just shy of 14 consistently.

http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif I have a 2000 ZR600EFI that I used to get 8-10 mpg. with. *After installing a Black Magic Hot Rod Trail Chip, I get 10-12. I'm happy with the increased mileage and better performance.

1998 600 efi powder special consistanly 10 *wifes 550 couger mountain cat gets 14, but it sure is gutless. *A buddy has a 2002 500 mountain cat snappy as #### but only gets 4 to 5 miles to the gallon he is calling the dealer tomorrow to see how bad they will sock it to him to upgrade to a 800 mountain cat. *His wife rides a 2002 600 efi mountain cat and get around 12.

On my 99 Polaris Indy XLT we are getting about 11mpg; On the Pantera 580EFI 10mpg; On my wife's 4Stroke 23mpg however this sled has other problems.

http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/baaa.gif Who cares, when the trails open, cost is no object. 2001 ZRT 800 around a 100 miles a tank, good enough for me. Also run Klotz Synthetic oil, $28.00 a gal.
WORTH IT TOO!

I have a 96 Mach-z getting about 7 to 8 mpg and that's it . don't matter if you go fast or slow ... it's the same ... Can't pass a gas station with that thing .... hahaha . Also have a 85 Phazer it gets 14 to 16 mpg

My 2002 T-Cat gets ~12 mpg when driven aggressively. *My wifes 94 V-Max has only gotten ~6 when I have driven it, (worst case), it gets 15~18 when she is on it. *All depends on how you work the loud handle.

Not a big concern for me with either sled as if I wanted good mileage I would have bought X-country ski's.

Modded 670 and I get 10 mpg. I didn't had time to really tune it right and it's at least 2 sizes too rich. The millage actually improved since I had the head shaved, trail ported, carb bored and air box gutted.

my 01 mxz 600 gets anywhere from 2-5 MPG, yes thats right 2-5mpg, so i called ski-doo about it, and they said there was a recall on certain ones, so i have to take it into the dealer to get fixed, i thought my mileage was screwed up, but the dealer kept insisting it was fine. *just think about that, 20-50 miles a tank!!! *i had to re-fuel like 2 times a day at least.
