I don't know maybe I did not look at it closely enough. It is an 02 ZX X skid and I tried to take out the skid yesterday and found that the shaft up front looked like it had a bracket on the each end of it and the bracket was riveted to the tunnel. Does this sound right? I loosened both bolts in the front and loosened the allen key bolts at the back. When I took out one of the bolts at the front the shaft did not move at all. I loosened the other side some more and it still did not move. So I took a look under the tunnel and it looks like the shaft flares out at the end to a bracket and the bracket is riveted to the tunnel. I don't know what the heck is going on here maybe one to many beers on the weekend. Anyway anyone else heard of this or maybe I should take another look? Thanks

do u have the front mount bolts out?? i found u have to back each bolt out little by little or the other one will thread out. kinda tricky if u have never done it before. keep workin' on it and it will come out. best way ive found is to put the sled on it's side then pull the suspension out and put it back in. keep us posted!!

The absolute best tool for this is an air rachet, the air rachet can spin the bolt faster than you can by hand which forces the bolt out instead of just spinning the inner sheave. If that doesn't work, sometimes you can get a narrow pair of vise gripes or channel locks on a exposed part of the spinning shaft. Good luck, I just finish pulling mine out again to switch tracks and its seems it never gets any easier.

Take one bolt out, go to store and buy another bolt that is the same diameter but longer, and a nut. put new bolt in tighten nut. loosen other side and take bolt out. back off nut while holding head all done. never use vise grips, you butcher

Well I don't what I was smoking or drinking but it was good. :D Anyway thanks for the help there is a bracket there but it does not hold the shaft in. Well got the back dropped out ok but I can't get the one of the front bolts out. Try like a bugger and the thing just won't move it just loosens the the other side. Oh well I can change all the bearings with the back out. If I have a problem I'll just have to take to to some one with an inpack. Just thought I would let you know how I made out.
