There will be a Sled/Bike Drag week-end Held at Raceway Park Drag strip in Prince Edward Island July 10 & 11. 1/4 mile Time trials and eliminations held both days,no points awarded but lots of braggin' rights!!, Bands on Saturday night, come one come all!!!!

how far is prince edwards island from gorham Maine ?

Sounds like a great time , I'll do my best to attend. Is there onsite camping their?

Not sure how far PEI would be from Gorham, but it would be around 5-6 hours from Bangor.
There is area's for on-site camping, but alot of racers stay at Bayside Campground which is right behind the Drag strip & stock car track. about a 2min drive.

went up sat to test and tune and break my track in did a 6.16 @111.45 in the 1/8, it should be really good with some compound and a tune

doo900, I am assuming you would take the #2 into Newport and hit the I95 which will take you too New Brunswick. From the NB border you are about 3 1/2 hrs. then its another 3 hrs to PEI.

Who else is comeing to P.E.I. on this weekend. Can anyone tell me if the track is open Friday night to put up a tent and get set up? I can't waite 14 days.

Yep, I will be there, can't wait haven't raced since last fall!!! Just have to finsh cleaning the carbs see you there!!!

Did any of you guy`s attend the drags at Sydney last weekend??
Don`t think i seen any of the above sleds there ,any ways there was over
250 entries with 40 in the sled and bike class and the sleds took ,1,2,3,4.

A stock 04 firecat ran a best 0f 10.68 at 116.5 mph on it`s thrid pass
down the track (first pass of the truck 10.93 at 114).

A 800 imp doo ,Rev ran 10.30`s-10.40`s on race gas ang twin pipes ,

stock Rx-1 ran 12.65 at 104

and an other one was a 1000pro stock Doo 9.43 at 144 mph with a bad bog
so it is gona go faster as will as the Firecat cause it had ####y60 ft times of 1.65`s
and no tansfer.

Must of been 18-20 sleds not as much as usual but the weather
wasn`t nice either. Can`t wait to get mine together now..........

Well, due to rain all week-end, the Bike/Sled meet that was to be run this past week-end on PEI, has been postponed until August 21-22. It was good to see all the people who did show up even though the weather was forcast for rain. Hopefully everyone will be able to make it in August!! See you there!!

Yeah I waited at the the bridge until after 11 sat morning. tring to get an answer about running or not. Hope it don't rain all through aug.

There is black top racing this weekend Fri,Sat , and Sunday (time trials
at 11: 00 on Sun) Wheather is gona be hotttt Sydney , Nova Scotia on the
Glace bay Highway first turn after the air port .It is a point weekend so the turnout will
be big.............

top Doo Gord`s racing ran 9.20`s ,Yamaha ....11.00??? Rx-1 ,some side it was a
turbo......Rx-1 high 11`s better than the 12.64 last race ...
Joe Capstick 1800 cc P.S.I . power 2003 Moutain Cat ran a 8.68 at 148 .....
30 mph plus cross wind 90 plus degree weather the big cat was spining he dailed 8.80
for backet .....The Mopars showed up to take home the cash $$$ Super pro ,
pro ,street, mopars in finals and a all mopar Pro class final ......
around 28 sleds over 250 total enteies It was a ADRA points meet.

I watched Ron Bray run a 1/4mile et of 8.81 at 148 mph on his Mach Z at Brainerd International speed way in Minnesota, it was cool to see him smoke that super bike.

Well, the bike/sled week-end was able to run, the weather did not cooperate on saturday, the rain fell around 1:30, got some passes in. Sunday the weather was sunny all day, good runs all day. Only about 40 bikes/sleds turned up, the weather forecast must have kept some at home. My fastest pass was 11.2 @ 110 MPH 1.5 60ft, got to the third round sunday, no traction and unable to run down the yamaha. (need some clutch work done!!!) They will try the same race next year!!!!

Will boy`s heading to the black top races in Sydney, Nova Scotia at
