Check with yuor dealer first but I'm pretty sure you should break it in with regular oil at first. A friend bought a brand new XC 700 this year and was told to run his first 100 - 150 miles on regular oil, then syphon it out and run your synthetic oil. *go with what you are going to use from the get go. my experience with switching oils even different brands of the same viscosity has been a horror story.
