: Where Do I Buy A Sled ?
parpato 05-16-2004, 04:38 PM Hi,
i like an advice to trusted / cheap sleds resellers where we ask treatments to sleds. :dazed:
We like buy 5 x polaris pro x 600 or ski-doo Mx Z X 600 sleds.
Could you tell websites or email addresses to us.
Thanks, Tommi FI
puree 05-16-2004, 05:48 PM are you looking for new or used??? if you after new, I would say visit the manufacturers websites and then see who some of their dealers are,,, if you are looking for used, there is an excellent auction in Bronson Michigan, but you probably wont find 5 sleds like your after until the November auction. If you are serious about it and want to make the trip in November or December, I am sure you could find what your after up in Bronson,,, people have come from Europe and Alaska in the past to buy,,,,
CORY9 05-16-2004, 08:22 PM Try Sleddepot.com, but not much happening this time of year.
paul yarek 05-16-2004, 10:47 PM he's trying pretty hard to get his english right. :lookaround:
spikegary 05-17-2004, 11:30 AM I agree with Cory9-I've bought 2 used sleds from the sled depot and they have treated us right all along. There website is www.sleddepot.com (http://www.sleddepot.com)
Don't know about shipping costs though..........
LadyK 05-17-2004, 11:35 AM Welcome Parpato, there are a few others on this board from Finland as well. Wouldnt shipping be very expensive???? Maybe a container is the way to go for that many machines.
RacerX408 05-17-2004, 02:25 PM ya i dont think you should be looking in north American for sleds, if u live in Finland. not sure where to look....
would be pricy to ship a sled, I'll sell ya my f6. I know its not a poo or a doo but its a 600. Thats gutta count for something.
cooley 05-17-2004, 03:42 PM actually shipping wouldnt be all that expensive. we ship containers to argentina, cyprus, malaysia and chile all the time and its fairly cheap. a standard 40 foot container to argentina is 2500+ usd . if he was to buy 10 sleds and fill a 20 foot container it would be just as cheap if not cheaper than shipping 5 sleds.
Spaceman 05-18-2004, 06:12 AM I hope not to offend, but this sounds like he may be reaping info for an E bay scam.
puree 05-18-2004, 02:04 PM :dazed: never thought about that,,,,,

At least he didn't say he was from Lebanon or Bengaladesh :D I imagine there are a lot of sledders there :sarcasm: .
On a serious note maybe he should PM Lasse.
SKI-DOOD 05-19-2004, 03:16 AM Why would any one over there want to buy here and send it there to begin with?
what would he do when it is time to fix it and parts are needed?

----------------------------------------------------
In Scandinavia ( Island / Norway / Sweden / Finland )
( + Denmark But they havn't any snow to talk about ! )
we have got much snow but not as high Mountains as you in the USA/Canada !!
The answer to all of your Question is : COSTS !! $$$$$$$$$
We have dealers of all the Snowmobile brands.
Here is one cost example from SWEDEN :
1 Litre Gas = 10,50 Skr --> 1,4 US $ ( 1 Gallon --> 5,2 US $ ) !!! !!!

Gas isn't any cheaper here from your example.
90+ cents a liter = $ 4.05 a canadian gallon.
convert your paso's or what ever it is you call money and what is the difference when converting to canadian funds . add the shipping and what would you really save?
puree 05-22-2004, 12:10 AM I think he was just giving gas as an example,,,, I would bet that a 600cc sled with efi,,,lets say a 2000,,,, would cost a couple grand less over here than over there,,,, so if its only gonna cost him 500 per sled to ship em, thats saving 1500 per sled and when hes wanting to buy 10 of them, thats 15000$$$$,,, ,so I see his point,,,
Lasse 05-24-2004, 02:10 PM
another example...
Here in SWEDEN a 2004Yamaha RX-1 Warrior cost :
145 000 SKr ---> 18700 US $ !!! !!! !!!

unisoldier 05-25-2004, 05:46 PM Hey!
Unfortunally its even worse here in Norway. I have looked at the possibility to import from either Canada or the US but have found that u wont save many $ at all - unless u are a couple of guys that could order at the same time. Even if u could save some costs there is a major problem: If there is a problem that is covered by warranty u have to get the sled to the seller to get it taken care of - Im sure u got the idea.
So Im afraid u need to move west permanently to get cheap sleds at all times. Life sucks - doesnt it. :/
