: Aluminum anodizing
maluchm 04-23-2002, 10:07 AM Does any one know of any Aluminum anodizing shops that I
could send a few parts to have anodized?
Or do I just take some electricity, food coloring and water
and try to do it myself? * http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

place www.anolaze.com They've got some interesting ways
of anodizing. Kind of like a tye dye look. Hmmmmmmmm I'm

performancex 04-23-2002, 06:10 PM kOOL-Aid work better than food coloring. *And be sure you have 200 amp service at your house, or it won't work out right.
like snowmonkey said LMAO *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Check out this site, real homemade anodizer http://www.focuser.com/atm/anodize/anodize.html
I wonder if I could anodize my whole sled with my 170 amp welder *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif *That would be sweet *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
performancex 04-23-2002, 07:26 PM did you know that Coke absorbs enough aluminum from the can that you can actually annodize the liquid? *Pepsi too. *It doesn't show up really well though because the soda is so dark brown. Remember Crystal Pepsi? *That clear stuff worked great for this.
performancex 04-23-2002, 07:28 PM You could even do the tie-dye motif with Crystal Pepsi!
AC great site on the home made anodizing tank! I might have to try *building one of these. Looks like the old high school chemistry class days!! *It would be pretty cool to turn out some trick parts for the ole sled..............Thanks DooZ..
NDMtnSledder 04-24-2002, 03:00 AM Nice site AC wish I had someplace to set one up at.
maluchm 04-24-2002, 08:57 AM Just what I was looking for AC, thanks!
Now does anybody know how to get canari (sp?) yellow color
to show? I've seen some anodized tunnels at racer-x.com
that look nice. Just haven't seen a true yellow color from
being anodized that doesn't look more gold colored.
performancex 04-24-2002, 04:38 PM wow, never thought it was so easy!
