Heading to see the Musical Box tomorrow night. They do a Genesis tribute show. Very good if you like Genesis when Peter Gabriel was part of the band. Might go to see Motorhead Saturday night.

Next week it's off to see Goddo, Moxy & Santers. Other shows I've got tickets for are Rush, Melissa Etheridge & the Poison/Cinderella/ Winger/Faster Pussycat show.

99Indy500-you aren't kidding about AC/DC being a good show. *I saw them last year. *Best concert I have ever been to hands down.

I like rock and techno, don't really care for country, rap or classical.

A couble other bands that are sweet are guns and roses, Bon jovi, Aerosmith,Skidrow,greatwhite * 80s rock rules!

I think the reason we haven't had anyone pick rap as their choice is it's impossible to wear a backwards ball cap & do rag under a helmet. No one has mentioned Led Zepplin, The Who, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, or the Rolling Stones. All are great rock and roll bands and have their own claim to fame.

This post will only mean anything to people in T.O. & southern Ontario. Back in the mid 90s when Q107 started to suck & they had that experiment with the Leaf games for the season, I started listening to CFNY (The Edge) @ night. They&#39;re mostly into Crue, Scorpions, Winger (the hair bands) & I mean that in a good way.

Funny how none of the Canadian members have mentioned them. I can&#39;t see how people can say they are one of the greatest Canadian rock bands. The only 2 songs of their&#39;s that I like are 50 Mission Cap & Courage. The rest suck.

Here&#39;s another everything vote. *If it sounds good, I&#39;ll listen to it, and what genere of music doesn&#39;t matter. *I have everything from Chopin, Beethoven, to rap in my music library. *I also have plenty of Native American, Celtic, some regional music (austrailian), and have collected every Musical Starstreams program played since January 01 (11 CD&#39;s in MP3 format).

A few years ago, just after the self-named Rage CD came out, we were coming home from the NASCAR race in Brooklyn Mich., listening to one of the rock stations in the Detroit area. Sitting in traffic on the Ambassador Bridge, we had the tunes cranked up. I think we had an idea that the band was Rage Against the Machine, but didn&#39;t know the song. I turned the radio back on & another song was on.

We never thought anything of this until a couple of months later. We were out at a club & the same Rage tune (Killing In The Name) that was on that day was being played. The best concert I ever saw was Motley Crue.I think it was in &#39;84 the shout at the devil tour.They rocked the house bigtime.

Another great concert was Queensryche the promised land tour in &#39;95 I think. I saw Sam and Dave at Tweeter in Chicago, good show! *Michael Anthony showed up and played with Sammy. *Still waiting to see the real thing though. *From what is said on the internet...Eddy V and Vallery B are split up, maybe that will get Eddy back on stage, but I&#39;m not holding my breathe anymore. *They are supposed to be releasing the location and dates of the second leg of the Sam/Dave tour.

Back in &#39;84 I was on night shift & Ozzy was in Toronto one week & VH (with Dave) the next week. I could only take 1 night off, so I went to see Ozzy. I figured I&#39;d see VH the next time they were thru Toronto.

On Saturday I went down to Limestone NY (north of Bradford PA) with some friends. LA Guns, Firehouse, Warrant, Ratt & Dokken were playing. Just as Ratt was ending their set it started to pour & lightning. They moved Dokken&#39;s equipment & they finished up in the bar.

I couldn&#39;t really vote for one. I listen to almost all types. (no pop and very little rap) Mostly hard or classic rock for me. Guess I&#39;ll never grow up. (At least I hope not) Nothing cranks me up on the way to the trails like a good rock tune.

I like all kinds of music but my favorates are Disturbed,Tantric,Lincon park and some other hard groups. Then on the other side of the scale there is U2 and Creed. Thease are all good groups in my eyes.

I&#39;m not sure if I ever saw Helix. I think Anvil and/or Kickaxe opened up for Quiet Riot & the Scorpions when I saw them at the CNE around &#39;83 or &#39;84. I saw the Headpins open up for ZZ TOP on the Afterburner tour at Maple Leaf Gardens. They also played w/ Toronto (Holly Woods) at a bar 3 or 4 years ago in T.O.

I saw the shania winter special as well. She rides thru the powder in Timmins with a blue summit. Goes to show successful people ride Skidoo.

I love 80s rock, its gods gift to man. I also like Hard rock and country. But i really dont care what it is. If it sounds good at the moment im listening to it. Except RAP.

Punk music is what i like MxPx, Sum 41, Simple Plan, AC/DC.

I think Gun&#39;s and Roses could have been the next Rolling Stones, I like a ton of the bands already mentioned. A great local band is Local H , two guys that can really rock.Also love Candelbox their first c.d. was great.It was really cool to see my 15 year old nephew listen to ac/dc and the Beastie boys for the first time.

Hank Williams JR and Johnny Cash, lots of country, G n R, NoFX, pretty much anything but rap. But that&#39;s not music anyways.

Any one here ever get to see Frank Soda and the Imps? He was a cover band that played the Clubs in the 80&#39;s (The Chaud and Pappion in Hull, QC) He would dress in outragous costumes like Superman with exploding head gear (pigs, volcanoes, joints....
He would jump from table to table ripping out Hendrix, Zepplin............ or at least thats how I remember it :D

Rock like early Zepplin,the Stones,and Rush throughTeenage Head, Van Halen and The Clash to the Dave Matthews band,NickleBackand No Doubt. Old 20&#39;s to 50&#39;s jazz,Big Band music,phsycadelic 60&#39;s stuff. Its pretty much ABC music(Anything But Country) around my place.
My collection would not be complete without some Ted Nugent,Benny Goodman, Frank Zappa,the Crash Test Dummies,Max Webster,Triumph,ZZ Top,Stevie Ray Vaughan,April Wine,Bruce Cockburn,Jethro Tull,Gordon Lightfoot,Little feat,The Grateful Dead,The Fabulous Thunderbirds,The Guess Who and the Who Too. Saw Frank Soda several times the most memorable being at the Gasworks. Had Volcano and TV blow up on his head. Had a cool hat that said Bull$hit protectors on the ear flaps. He stood on our table and guzzled half our pitcher of beer (bought us a new one). Great showman.

I agree with midnight i can listen to almost anything but rap. When i am driving i can listen to country or rock but when i am weightlifting, running, or working in the garage it has to be rock noting else will do. Anything from the 70&#39;s-today from LYNYRD SKYNYRD to KID ROCK.

I listen to anything with a beat. Not to picky tend to listen to Rock though ;)

Alternative country, regular R&R, jazz, blues and soul are what I like.

We need to be able to pick multiple choices! Classic rock, hard rock, alternative, it&#39;s all good; &#39;specially when it&#39;s good and loud. Don&#39;t like rap or country.

Used to do a lot of arena concerts at Cobo Hall in Detroit when I was younger in the 70&#39;s and 80&#39;s; Aerosmith, Nazareth, Blue Oyster Cult, all kinds of stuff. Now my 14yo daughter wants me to take her to some and all I can think of is all the trouble we got into back then! :nervous:

I don&#39;t think I saw linkin park anywhere, whitch I find strenge. My favorite songs are crawling, points of authority well pretty much all the songs on the linkin park album reanimation. Also, alive from POD, and one of the tunes from sledecks 4 and 5 from ramstein. I have to say that I listen to all kinds of rock. I especially like linkin park, iron maiden, all the sound track of slednecks, depeche mode, u2 and lots more. I stay away of rap, contry, classical and rave style of music. No ofence, but it&#39;s just not my style. The kind of music I listen to depends on what I doo. Any xtreme sports that involves driving somthing, I listen to rock to pump up the adrenaline :thumbsup: . When I&#39;m at work, pretty much everything goes. When we have a party, club, dance techno and trance.

I listen to a lot of classic metal and punk, but more country than anything. Not the corporate pop-country crap (Tim Mcgraw, Kenney Chesney, etc), but REAL country: Merle Haggard, BR549, Hank 3, Heather Myles, Johnny Cash, etc.

Classic Rock all the way, Hendrix, Zep, Stones and the rest. Than throw in some southern rock, Allman Bros, ZZ Top, Skynryd. How many form the Detroit area remember Wild Wednesday&#39;s or Freaky Fridays out at Sherwood Forest in Davison?

Best concert that I been to was Zepplin at the Silverdome in Pontiac. Second best was the Stones at Rich Stadium in Buffalo.

Sunday night I went up to Toronto to see Iron Maiden, Dio & Motorhead. The Molson Amphitheatre was full. Lots of fans up on the lawn too.

I saw Maiden 3 times in my long hair day&#39;s
Powerslave tour in 84 Twisted Sister opened.
Somewhere in time tour in 86, can&#39;t remember who opened.
Seventh son tour in 90 Guns and Rose&#39;s was the opener. Before they got big.
Saw Ozzy twice, second time was the Black Sabbath tour.
Saw the Crue twice, Faster #####cat opened for one and white snake the other.
Saw Metalica for the Justice tour........queen&#39;s r
Saw Rush at Ampatheater
Saw the Rolling Stones this past oct. at the Skydome.
But my favorite one was Pink Floyd in 94 there last tour. That was awsome!!

I saw Dio when he was w/ Sabbath in the early 80s & then in the 90s @ the CNE.

Rush I&#39;ve seen every tour since Signals.

Ozzy solo for the Bark @ the Moon tour @ Maple Leaf Gardens & the Sabbath tour a few years back @ the Dome.

I saw Uncle Ted @ the Amphitheatre 2 years ago when he opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd. I always remembered when he played in Toronto back in the 70s. The animal rights do-gooders were always freaking out about him :devil: :D

Finally, I heard last week that Rob Halford is back w/ Judas Priest. Saw them way back when during the Defenders of the Faith tour @ the Gardens & a couple of years ago w/ Ripper Owens on vocals @ the Warehouse. He did a surprisingly good job.
