Volunteers Needed

Just got back from a club meeting where we talked about the upcoming need for volunteers.

Why not take some time now while there is no snow and before summer arrives (supposed to go to 4 deg C tonight) and find out what kind of help you can give your local club.

It is not all trail work, might be there web site, their finances, find advertisers for the local trail map, etc.

There are clubs that are having to contract out some of these things because they don't have the volunteers

If you are not already active with a local club now is the time to find out what they are all about. It doesn't have to be a big commitment. I am sure they would be happy to see you out even if it was only once

I know it has been said before, just thought it needed to be said again

GOOD TOPIC 583.

This is the perfect time to start planning for your meetings, trail work, fund raisers and all else. Anyone interested in joining a club in the central Minnesota area (Saint Cloud/Saint Josph) send me a PM. Our club is small so there is no web site. We need peolpe to help with re-routing trail, ect. It seems that everyone uses the trails and has so much input but no one wants to join a club. Keep in mind without the help of clubs you will not have certian trails! They need your support.

Great post James. I manage to hold down a job, raise 2 kids, take care of poor Perm :inlove:, mod this site and arrange events, AND help keep the trail by my house clear. I am sure that you peeps have a few hours a month to help with your favorite thing to do. Our clubs need our help.Like James said it isnt all trail work. Lots of us have much to offer our clubs. Even I could be more involved with my local club. Lets get up off our butts and help!!!!
