fennsz 06-01-2004, 12:14 PM I feel your pain, I am from Lowell, WI, used to live in Horicon and Beaver Dam. This rain is just nuts. I feel for the Farmers in the area, the crops that are in the ground are ruined. And they can't get through the lakes to get new crops in.
drift_jockey 06-01-2004, 03:57 PM yea my g/f's dad had to raise the pier 6" to get it outa the water where they live
Z-Rider 06-01-2004, 05:04 PM The rain has been crazy here in Michigan also. We had a record 8+ inches for the month of May.
mtrsprt 06-02-2004, 08:52 AM Good place to practice water skimming.
Nows your chance without any concequences.
all that rain in your area and yet another drought out west in canada. Its gonna be another tuff year for the farmers. :(
puree 06-02-2004, 12:13 PM not sure what we got here in Ohio for the month,,,,but we had over 4 inches when we had out flood, and then got another 2 1/2 inches last Sunday,,,, we have lots of beans and corn to replant,,,,, and some of the areas are still under water and may not be dry in time to even try to replant,,,,,
spikegary 06-02-2004, 12:59 PM This is what it was like in the middle of winter when I used to live in Southern Virginia.....cold and wet....it's June for Pete's sake. The pool is all the way up to 68 degrees. Be still my beating heart.
phat_cat800 06-02-2004, 01:04 PM Damn thats alot of rain. I'm not sure if we broke any records for rainfall here but it seems as if we have had our fair share this spring. To bad we didn't have all this precip through the winter :cussing: .
SD_Sledhead 06-02-2004, 02:11 PM We got 4.5 inches of rain in 2 hours on Saturday and have got another 3 inches since Saturday. We needed some rain, but not that damn much!! My parents lost 20% of all their crops because they are now submerged.
2002mxzx 06-02-2004, 05:17 PM All this rain realy sucks i just planted a new lawn and watched it all wash away
versatileman 06-02-2004, 11:54 PM Here in s.w. Lower MI we have had rediculous rain fall.
Wettest May on record. I have the Paw Paw river in my back yard, been more like Paw Paw lake - have seen almost 4 feet above normal. Havent even been able to mow the back 40 for 5 weeks - if only this had been snow :(
Vman
highlandergerman 06-03-2004, 12:28 AM We had 4.5 inches just south of grandforks ND . I have already replanted my sugar beets from the 4 inches of rain that fell two weeks ago. Now they are standing in water. So it may be an interesting week.
