I like to see this stuff-refutes some of the naysayers. I also like to hear that Yamaha IS listening to their customers.

We think Yamaha may have made a mistake in naming one of its mountain sleds for the 2005 season. We’re talking about the RX-1 Mountain snowmobile. When sledders hear the name RX-1 Mountain, snowmobilers automatically think of the bulky snowmobile first introduced two seasons ago.

While the RX-1 Mountain is back for 2005, it is not the same snowmobile as in years past.

Yes, the 2005 RX-1 Mountain has shed 22 lbs. from a year ago (making it nearly 30 lbs. lighter than the first ever RX-1 Mountain), but it’s how this sled handles in the deep snow that really makes the difference.
We couldn’t believe we were riding the same model. Well, we weren’t really riding the same RX-1 Mountain. This 2005 RX-1 actually worked in the mountains. We rode it in deep powder, along hillsides, up hills, through the trees, down into creek beds—you name it, we took it there. And it responded in a way the older RX-1 never could.

So may we suggest a name change, like the RX-1 Mountain That Is Finally Ready To Kick Some Western Butt?
