Looking to add a little more sound and take off a little weight off the the T-Cat (2001), black magic has the new R/t series and D&D seems to have a good one also (I have a D&D on a 800 ZR sounds great) has anyone tried these or any other brands, any power loss, hows the sound, the fit, etc. Thanks for the help guys...

Ran a SPX silencer last year, sounded good and it was nice and light. * Fit pretty good too(stock hole)

I have a DG silencer on my 600, sound is awesome, fit is awesome. I would love to hear a 1000 with one on!

You might want to stay away from Black Tragic, I understand you lose power with it. *D&D is the best, but economically the DG is the runner up. *I have the DG and it sounds awesome.

Put an RT on my 02 Zr 800. *Sounds and runs great. *Much lighter than stock and fits great even with the reverse. *Have v force, milled heads, advanced timing, power breather, gutted box, clutched and jetted. *The sled flies and no power loss.

I just put on a D&D silencer (01 T-cat) it is not much louder than stock.
It adds more of a low tone, similar to a set of flowmaster mufflers on a
big block musclecar. Very sweet!!
If you have electric start you will need to replace your battery with shorter
length version. I also removed the rubber cushions that the stock silencer sits on
and replaced with flat 1/8" thick rubber pads. The D&D silencer does not come with factory
dimples to recieve the half round factory rubber pads that the stock silecer has to keep it from
shifting towards the side of the belly pan. I drilled the flat pad locaters on the D&D silencer
and bolted it in to place using flat washers and lock nuts. After talking with other people
who melted their hoods and bellypans I figure I would save myself the same frustration.
IMO, same compromised fit and engineering redesign that it is needed with all aftermarket
parts whether for a car, bike, sled, etc.

if u have a triple MBRP exhaust is the way to go, i'm not sure if i gained or lost any hp but, it feels a tad quicker and the sound is awsome. this silencer is louder than my buddies 97 zrt 800 with d&d pipes and silencer and 1000cc hop up kit. every gas station i pull up too on my sled, people stop what there doing and look. i even got guys asking me if i have a race motor under my hood. i tell nop just a silencer, vforce reed, gutted airbox and clutch, you should see there eyes light.
