Finally Got my 99 WS6 Trans Am. It reminds me a lot of my Mach Z but in a car form. Just had to get that out. Knew if anyone would understand it would be snowmobilers as far as finally saving up for something and getting it.

The F-bodies will always have a place in my heart. I had the '82 Pace Car and wish I still had it. Hopefully will get a nice '68 or '69 convertible in the near future. Give us some pictures asap!!!

Jim-

I have a 69 Firebird 350 H.O. Convertible in the last throes of restoration. Hopefully I'll have it on the road next year. I bought it in October 1977 (year I graduated H.S.). Always loved the F bodies. Wife asks me which one I'm keeping (the RX-7 is the other toy). I have to find a place to hide one of them........

Mach83-Go down screen to the attachment section, click on 'Browse', go to the location your pix are stored, pick one and hit the 'Open' button, then hit the 'Add Reply' button here.

Gary, you can "hide" either one of those at my house, and I promise to keep all the seals and gaskets from dryrotting!!! :p That looks like it will be a sweet ride when you get it finished. At first I wanted to find a numbers matching original car, but if I plan on driving and playing with it once in a while, originality is not that important. My idea now is to find one that is in pretty good shape, and update the motor and powertrain with a late model EFI motor and upgraded suspension for better handling. Like I said, "someday", first I need to build a garage that will acommodate the project. Let me know when you're done with yours.

Trying to find the money for it right now. This is an all matching with the exception of the tranny. It's somewhere in a scrap pile in Virginia (I had to change out the tranny in 1983-not much hope of finding it now. The engine is .030 over, crower cam and solid lifters, going back to traditional exhaust manifolds with original dual exhaust/single cross muffler. I found a set of Rally II wheels, got the painting kit for it and correct caps (Black with PMD in red) and lugs. Even found an original AM radio (69 was a peculiar year-only radios from a 69 will fit it due to the slope of the dash). I found an FM Stereo on e-bay, but it was up to $800 when I quit watching. The one I got was a non-working radio for $30-the restorer has a radio guy that fixed it. It had an AM from the factory. Had to get a another dash bezel also becuase I cut the old one when I put atape deck in it. The sins of youth...

I drove it from 77-85 as my primary driver. Pretty much was an on/off driver, then in storage after that.

If the file is too big, it won't load. try editing down the resolution. If you become a supporting member, your allowance for picture size goes up!

Nice pics Pete...did you buy that new?? Is it a straight car? I remember you talking about selling it last year. Heck, hold on to it...can't be costing you much to keep, and will only go up in value from now on.

Looks like your kids have the same Jeep as mine :p

mxz7......When it comes to classic cars, I'm strictly a Mopar guy, but that Trans Am is sweet! The paint on that car is beautiful!

Jim,I bought the car in '98. It is staight as an arrow. The interior needs some attention. The factory silver leather buckets are showing some wear, cracking and a few other small mics. defects.

We bought the car from a guy over in Portage, saw it on the way home from a fishing trip in Gods country :D Got the number off the car called the owner and picked it up the next weekend. I stole the thing, the guy had no clue what it was/is worth. hehe :sly:

The Jeep is outta comission,it has a wiring issue, something got rerally hot

Funny you mention that. My dream car is a '69 Charger R/T 440 4spd. I told my wife we should dump the T/A and buy one. She wouldn't go for it since it is "her car" :p

Yes the paint is perfect, too bad those pics suck, bad lighting.

My dream car is pretty much any Mopar. My first choice would be a '70 or '71 Cuda or Challenger, but those are way out of my price range now. Unless it has a small block 318 in it. Second choice is a '66 or '67 GTX, Belvedere or Satellite. I might stay away from those though, because parts are getting hard to find. My next choice would be a '68 Charger. But, then again, they're all nice. '68 Darts are nice, Road Runners, Dusters. I'll take any of them. The only ones I don't really like are post '70 Road Runners and Satellites. Next year at this time, I should have one. Believe it or not, but my wife said I can use her bonus next year to buy one. Gotta love her.

Very Nice-Sweet looking ride.

A buddy of mine has a SuperBee tucked away in a garage waiting for the day he can rebuild it. Probably after his 3 year old has finished college.........
