I checked the Reider Racing website & this is what I found for the GM IFS front axle:
GM9F/ARB * GM 9.5" IFS FRONT *33 SPLINE
GM7F/LOCKRIGHT * *GM 7.2" IFS *25 SPLINE (S Truck?)

Those 2 items in my initial post are a ARB air locker for a full size GM pick up. The second item is for the S truck axle. z800rotax 05-01-2002, 11:57 AM I stand corrected rev.I never knew they were available,thanks for the info as a friend of mine was lookin for one a few years back for his ifs chev and he was told they were not available so we ended up swapping in a solid 10 bolt. revrnd 05-01-2002, 06:20 PM If I had the time, money & space I'd 'doo that too. :-)) I've seen a few guys here in southern Ontario put a Dana front axle from a Ford in the GMT 400s (88-98) because GM in their infinite wisdom changed the side the front drive shaft was on.
One other benefit of this "change" is the fact the drive shaft went right thru the space the oil filter takes up. Therefore they had to put a 90* adapter & use that pop can filter on the K models. On my '94 I put a remote filter kit on it & ran a PF35 filter. | |
