My dad got a 73 sl450 and it has a pioneer radio with face plate. It does not work. I can get one channel, can not get it to change, can not get the volume to go up. ect. Is there a trick to this. The guy where we got it from told us it worked. Thanks.

unfortunately, it sounds like its gone,,, is the radio a tape player/cd player?? is it digital or analog?? knobby radio or din radio?? do you have a model number for the radio?? I will try to track down better info for you,,,

It is a digital, with a cd player. The former owner had an amP ? hooked up to it. They unkooked it and left all the wires laying in the back under a matt. One wire was hot and i taped it off. Now i have unhooked those wires.
