What is the best method to remove old decals from my 75 ski doo? *I don't want to ruin or discolor the hood at all. *Any household items I can use?

*there is actually a sticker remover product made but that is not household. as for household i have used a heatgun not a hairblower, the heatgun that people use to remove paint, varnich and wallpaper. i have also used hot water.

use goo gone to remove the sticky residue off of the hood. I use a hairdryer to remove the sticker http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

They sell a round plastic thing that you put on the end of your drill and spin it over the sticker. it only removes the sticker and dosent damage the paint, they use *it on new cars ! you can get it at any car parts store!
