For those of you that make video's on your computer what program are you using to edit it. I really just want something that I could crop some frames out of the video, like at the beginning and ending.
All I have is a cheap program that came with my camera and I can't find anywheres on it that I can do this. Any free downloadable ones?
I use Roxio's Easy Media Creator 7...I think I paid about $80 for it.
What camera and software are you using now?
Windows Movie Maker (included in Windows XP) is pretty good.
scott, i have been frigging around with windows media player. it came included with my windows xr and it works great. very easy to learn, even for someone like me. let me know i can give you some tips about how to run it.

Sorry for not responding sooner but I forgot about this post. When I posted I forgot about the windows movie editior and then found it and have used it a little. It seems to do what I want for now, but I will go download the update for it.
Now I just have to get the memory chip for my camera so I can get more then 1:30 of video fotage.
Thanks everyone.

If droping frames is all you want, use Virtualdub or Nandub. Both are deviations of the same program. Extremely easy to use with any codecs inport and export. Both come with the install of Auto GordianKnot, which is used to rip dvds to divx in 3 clicks. All three programs are free on the net.
