A friend of mine is trying to talk me into getting a C-46 rear shock, he told me it would fit a SC10-II. I looked in the online microfiche and in 2001 the X uses the same HPG shock with different valving. In 2002 it shows a different shock for the X. Will a C-46 rear shock fit a SC10-II or can it only go into a SC10-III?????
I know the SC10-III has three more inches of travel so its seems strange that it would fit

The c-46 will bolt right in. I had a c-46in my SC10-II 2001 mxzx-x 800. As long as it is for a 121"skidframe, as they do make them for the renegade x packages now.

Hi Permafrost, did the C-46 make a big difference in ride quality or did it just allow you to ride hard longer before suspension fade?

sammydogs64 it was a great shock for horsing around. I did countless jumps that year. IT did seem to last alot longer before fading than my VR shock currently in my gade. IF you can get a good deal on a used one thats what I would doo, then get it re sealed and fresh oil. there are better shock out there though. A walker evans or a Ryde FX with piggyback comes to mind. Some major Bling to get them though

Is the C-46 shock for the rear shock or the center shock?
