My brother made one for his 1996 mxz 670. I will try to retreive the pictures, there somewhere in my computer :bash: He sold the sled and kept the riser so if you interested PM me.

ah here ya go. I think you get a 5" riser out of it. We also put hinges on the seat so you can put stuff under it.

pretty confused too.

Anyways I seen someone put a seat from a pro-x racer on their ski-doo before, that was quite a rise

Can someone explain what seat risers are made out of.

How to make a seat riser?

Also, I didn't see any pics of the seat risers.

Klymaxx makes them

Funny thing is I deleted the pics I had of the seat risers 3 days ago :(

I don't want to be paying that much cash for a riser. I'd much prefer to make one, so I'd appreciate any homemade ideas or designs. I'm thinking of making one out of wood as I'm not experienced with metal or have the means by which to do it.

I would also like to know how to make a seat riser.

If anyone knows of a way to do this please post it.

Thanks

ok guys heres a quick run down of my story . ive made 2 seat wedges for my sleds a (zx and s-chassi sleds) i had back surgery 2yrs ago and when i was off on sick leave in sept i did alot of stairing at our sleds wondering if i ,d be able to ride that winter .thats when i created mine . i made them for around 50 bucks depending on the $$ of the alum . youll need some 1" alum angle ,some 2"flat stock and some alum sheeting.as far as hardware youll need 2 bolts for your seat ,rivets and some small screws and nuts(#10 1/2" long) the screws are for the wedge if you want to be able to remove the wedge at a later date. ( first pull your seat and put it back in at the front just enough to hook into the tank guides then bend the back up to where you would like it to be ( watch the wrinkles in the seat ) . some of the extra wrinkles can be tucked in up around the tank . once you have your seat the ht you want block it up with some wood blocks . now its fab time ! run a chunk of angle along the tunnel from front to back drilling holes in the front (watch out for exchangers)
. then run a piece from the front to the back along the bottom of your seat. run a piece of angle across at the seat bolts in the tunnel and one on the upper frame where your bolt holes are in your seat then fill in the gap with the flat stock to hold your ht . then its just a matter of fiiling in for support and sheeting the outside.
run a cross brace up front on the top about mid way to help support the seat.
once you have it all made . make the back plate so you can take it off to get to your seat bolts and wella!! i raise mine 4" on the zx and around 3 on the s-chassi
heres a pic of the sleds sorry not a very good one since my puter had a anurisum
and i lost all my pics this is one i took while working on my latest project (121" morfed to a 136" ) but it shows the wedge

well im thinking of fabing a few up . but i dont want to be stuck with them . how many people out there would be intrested in one for around 75 bucks + shipping
i think im going to doo this on a order by order basais.once i get the measurments off mine i can whip a few up . should i fully assemble them ? or make it as a kit
for less hassle in the shipping .
