: As Soon As The Boss Leaves

As some of you may know, i work for my father who owns a Motel. Yesturday the old man was leaving for a 4 day vacation and i got to be the boss for the rest of the week. :D Now you would think that would be a good thing wouldnt you. :whatever:

Anyway, i got off work at 5pm. I had worked all day from 9 - 5. My brother, who was filling in for the week to help out was working the evening shift untill 11. Then i was coming back to take his place. See our house is beside the motel and at this time of year we close the office from 12 am - 8am. so we are always around if something does happen.

Anyway, i just got everything closed up and went to bed and was almost alseep and someone calls from a room. Its 1:15 am and some puck ### kids (that my brother rented too and he knows there is a rule against renting to minors and local people) are disturbing other guest's. So i get up, put the clothes on and go out to see whats up. I nock on the door and this guy comes to the door, seemed to be a nice guy and I asked him if they would quite down cause they are disturbing other people in the motel. I told him if i have to come back again, i will be bringing the cops with me. So he agrees.

Well at 4:15 am i get another call from a room and these punks are outside fighting and yelling. I had enough, and before thinking about it, i was going to the room to kick them out personally. On second thought while i was almost to the room i took the phone and called 911. Not a good thing to try and kick 2 bigger guys out of a room by yourself. I think one of the guys heard and seen me talking to the cops and in the meeantime called a cab to get out of there. Of course the cops took for ever and i had to catch the cab before it got to there room or they would have been gone. So i told the cab to get out of hear and what was going on.

So when the cops came i was able with there assistance to get rid of these kids. well one guy was 20 so he wasnt a kid but you shoulda seen the girls that they had with them. I bet they were only 16. Nice looking girls and i am sure they can find better guys to hang with than these 2 drunks. anyway, one guy gets a little mouthy with me and the cops and as far as i know, he is jail right now and the other 3, well they are walking down the raod and they better never show there face on our property again. So here it is 5:20 am and i cant sleep and have only got about 2 hrs of it anyway, so why go back to bed, i have to work in 2 1/2 hrs and i just feal sorry for the chambermaids tomorrow because they have one heck of a mess in that room to clean up. I guess i should have worked all day and evening, because i may have prevented all of this. Oh well. :blush:

punk kids are more scared of weapons than cops, so next time it happens take a bat with u and scare them a bit. i know this cuz i used to be one of those stupid mouthy kids. :blush: well, not really but i know some people who act the same way. sucks that u have some clean up to do, but u should make your brother do it since it's his fault.

Dawg,

Sorry to hear about it. I once stopped in Penn. about 2 a.m., becuase I was falling asleep at the wheel, so I got a room at some claptrap Motel off I-81. Couldn't get to sleep, because of the racket in the 'Party Room' (Post High school dance, I think). 2 calls and a couple hours, they finally kicked them out of the hotel.

At least you get a good taste of what your folks put up with all year! Glad it worked out and you didn't have to clean up the mess yourself.......I used to work for a limo service, and oif course, at the end of the night it was my job to clean the car up......some seriously nasty stuff..........people can be such pigs.

Question for you Dawg;
why did you stop the cab from picking them up and hauling them away?
Wouldn't that have ended your problems?

konkinj, well it would have if i was sure they would have all left. I had the cops on there way and i was unsure what the room looked like. If they had really did some major damage then they could have been charged, so i wanted the cops there not only for my safety but to see what was busted up. Luckly there were only 2 broken lawn chairs and hole in the ceilling. If they wuld have left in the cab, it would have mad things much more difficult.

Ouch sorry to hear about that Nate. If your Hotel keeps this up you will need the Cops on speed-dial :lol: . Have fun being your boss all week and hopefully things run a little smoother.

Good thinking, and I never even thought about it this way.
I spend allot of nights in hotels, and when there is a party going on, I'm just glad when it ends..... whether the cops are there or not (and it's surprising how often the cops get called to high class joints too).
