I am a beer guy too but if there is a summer event to attend, I take a watermellon and cut a hole in the top and open a bottle of Vodka and stick it in the mellon . do this 1 day in advance the mellon absorbs all the vodka, then the next day enjoy the watermellon...Quite refreshing. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sarcasm.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleeping.gif

Most true while I'm workin in the yard (power tools, tractors, lawn equipment, etc don't mix), but when the job is done, The Mikes Hard lemonade cannot be beat!! While I'm workin, though, It'll be coke, or water. *I've never cared for pepsi. *Tastes too sweet for me.

Ha, you musta bought beer at the gas station!

Dude, if you get your brew at the gas station or the grocery store, it's gonna be 3.2%. *Most beer is 3.5%. *Ice beers are 4.5% or 5.5%. *And I know I've had beer 6.5%, too.
I used to know which brands had what content, but I've lost all my beer knowledge since I've been out of college.

phazerhater
05-13-2002, 05:29 PM
Ya most US ICe beers are around 5.5%. *There are a couple 40s out there that I have seen that are 6.5%, like Camo and a couple other wierd named ones. *Taste like azz, but one of those is all ya need to get buzz'n!LOL

Bartman

Most of the US micro-brews are in the 6% range, I had some stuff that was around 8% that was called "story teller" I found out why they named it that after I drank a few.

I had a batch of homemade wine last summer that didn't taste as good as I'd like, so I'd mix it with soda water and fruit juice to make my own wine coolers. They are awesome by the pool! Since then I've mixed wine half and half with that carbonated cranberry stuff by President's Choice; tastes just as good a Mikes Cranberry. Yummy!

Don't drink very often anymore but when I doo it's usually a beer. I love the imported beers too, Heineken (tour in amsterdamn was great :p ) Tenants lager is a FAV also, indulged in that and the Mc kewans while on a scotland highland tour :hallo1: .
For beer from around here I like Creemore springs or Rickards Red.

All this beer talk reminds me of when we used to Brew our own. One time we made a Tenants recipe and substituted wild mountain clover honey for the glucose. That was our best batch ever. :inlove:

Nothion beats sittin on the beach with a drink watchin the hotties parade around. Makes it a little easier to deal with the no snow situation. I usually go for Captain Morgans Spiced Rum with some peach iced tea or Cocunut run with some sprite. Both great in the summer. Just make them tall and keep them coming.

Guess it really depends what time of day and mood I'm in...its relaxing to wake up to a nice hot cup of coffee spiked with a splash of baileys, goes down so sweet sitting on the end of the dock watching the mist lift off the lake...early afternoon, fishing, or just lazing about sunning, tenants, rickards, any medium to dark beer hits the spot real good, if you have a roudy bunch out in the water though its definetly coolers and canadian.. :D ...to start dinner depending on the menu its a full bodied red wine or a smooth white. To finish off the day, star gazing a nice aged scotch with a couple of chips of ice....not too many though...enough to smoke the glass, and still enjoy the heat as it goes down so smooth...
