just got my garmin etrex legend back today. I had to send it in because the toggle control would not move to the left. therefore i could delete anything on my gps. I sent it away 3 weeks ago and they said it would be probably 3 weeks before i got it back and they were right. @ thumbs up and thanks garmin for gettign my gps back to me, i am lost in the woods without it. :D

from what I hear (and you confirm) Garmin is a great company. I think my RINO has a 3 year warranty

I agree Garmin is top of line. I lost my Mapsource software and they offered to sell me another copy for 30% off the retail price. Well I did fine the software, but for them to offer me another copy at 30% off tells you that they take care of thier customers.
I just ordered the MetroGuide for Canada and can't wait to get it!!!!!

Well how about this. I bought my first Garmin 38 in about 1996. Two years ago I had problems with it. I sent it in and it was well out of warranty. Garmin sent me a new one which was also an updated one (Garmin 12). well a year ago it happened again and they have sent me another new one. My GPS takes a beating due to being mounted on my sled and Atv for ice fishing. Garmin has always answered my questions. Garmin for life. BTW it says they do not replace GPS's...but hey.
