hey everybody,
just lookin for some easy/cheap ways to squeeze every pony out my little phazer so i can beat some other 500's this winter. I disconnected the oil injection and am going with the mixed gas. What is the proper ratio for the best performance. Any other little tidbit's woud be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.

I agree with yamamutt...pipe that sled! Make sure your jetting is spot on and the idle is adjusted properly (which can make a big difference for initial accelleration). What kind of riding are you doing?

alot of people tell me to mix 50:1, but is 32:1 better overall. We ride everywhere, through, under and over everything. thanks partna

I think you get much more bennefit from removing the oil pump than from altering your mix ratio...lowering the ratio riskes a melt down. If you do a lot of off trail riding look for a 136 x 1.5" paddle track; my dad runs one and his needs alot less throttle to get around and climbs better (mines a 136x1" full block) Again if your powder riding increase the gear ratio in the chain case (cheap); this gives up some top end for more torque.

Check all your track bearings...a bad bearing can rob HP. Cheap and easy to replace.

Make sure your jetting is spot on...this makes a big difference.
