Although I live in Massachusetts Ive never gone sledding here. Does anyone know what is required to sled LEGALLY in Mass? Ive heard you have to be a member of a club, is that true? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Just a registration. It is like 35 bucks for two years...oh yah they make you pay your sales tax if you haven't already...If you bought the sled privately and never paid the sales tax, you better make up a fake bill of sale because there is a penalty for not paying tax in the time allotted. It is also not a bad idea to join a club, It is usually only around 20 dollars a year. Join SAM..Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts

PS I live in North Attleboro

we dont ride here anymore cause the riding sucks (last year no snow)

you have to get the mass regis and register with sam, then join a club

we were from snowbirds snowmobile club in spencer.....good riding but not enough snow

You will need a tax slip (dealers have them) and bill of sale to send in to the mass department of whatever they call it now. Write a check for 5% of what you payed, or what you say ;) you payed and send those items in. Then you need to show your rego to a club to purchase a sticker/membership.

Can't wait to buy a new sled when I'm home in 5 or so years. I love watching the changes from here though.
