rjmlakota 08-25-2004, 11:17 AM I have never drove the 700, I'm sure they are a nice machine. I know someone that has the 700 and he was riding one day, shut the machine off and was never able to get it started again. Well he had to walk almost 3miles out of the woods.
Took it to the dealer here the starter crapped the bed on him and seeing there is no recoil backup on it it's not something I would want. I normally ride up north in Canada and we go WAY back in the bush. I wouldn't want my starter to take a S H I T on me and not be able to pull start the thing.

SledHead 08-25-2004, 06:27 PM When you hit the trottle on that thing(in 2wdrive) the front tires came right off the ground. And it was noise because buddy couldnt get the muffler all the way on so she would bark up some noise. But you don't really need a great big machine, like my 450foreman honda is all i need for power!!!
catwoman600 08-25-2004, 07:06 PM I rode my friends 02 700.Didn't like it.Good machine but tough in tight areas and vibrates to much for me.Just bought an 05 Grizzly.Second Grizz in the family.Great all around machine.Has plenty of power for me. :D
SledHead 08-26-2004, 10:49 AM Well this 700 was a 2004 so it was a newer model so it was better. And i also found that when you shut it off she would have trouble starting again. But there 2005 say there WAY better!!

greatwhitenorth 08-27-2004, 12:52 AM buddy, you need to try out a kawasaki 700. better yet, their new 750 brute force.
Bauer 08-30-2004, 08:33 AM I have said it before with the sleds, and it is getting to be the same with the quads. The only reason people are buying these big machines is to say that mine is bigger than yours. My buddy has got a Sportsman 500 ho and that has more power than i would probly need, though a 600 would be nice, 700-800, why, i just don't get it.
IMO

NYyfz450 08-30-2004, 10:28 PM i like utility quads, especially the Brute force, but i have a yamaha YFZ 450. this thing hauls ### i topped it out and it was just shy of 90 STOCK
SledHead 08-31-2004, 07:55 PM better yet, their new 750 brute force.

The sportsmans are nice.I went with a 2004 4x4 Honda Rancher myself. Dependable as hell and it was cheeper. When you have a lot of cash tied up in sleds...it's hard to buy a big wheeler too!
Bauer 09-02-2004, 11:03 PM "I went with a 2004 4x4 Honda Rancher myself. "
You do mean 3x4 right?? I love my quad but the stupid fourwheel drive system really makes me mad, the tire thats actually gonna help you sits still, while the one way up in the air spins. It sucks when you are really only in 3 wheel drive.
