hey guys i am thinking about buying a 2003 rev mxz sport 800 that is brand new in the crate and was wondering what the pros and cons of this machine are and what probs people have had with them
any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

The rev chassis is great once you get used to it. Engine performance is ok. THe suspension pkg with the sport is alright, depending on what you are going to do with the sled. If you ride hard, you may want to consider an X package sled because of considerable suspension upgrades.

There is also the ever-present ring issue with all of Skidoo's sleds with SeriesIII engines. It won't kill your motor, but on average you will need rings sooner than other makes. There is a fix for it offered by Cudney Racing (also a member here) for a piston and ring kit that will outlast and outperform the stock ones.

They come with rebuildable shocks wheras in '04 they came with throw aways only except for the 'X' package.
