Let me get the engine compression checked first. The dealer serviced it last year and said it was in great shape and I rode only a few times since then but I want to at least get a compression reading for someone. I want to make sure it's good. I did put some 2 stroke oil in both plug holes after the motor came out of the sled and pulled the rope a few times to coat the cylinders.
Also by motor, I assume you mean motor, including everything attached? (Stator, oil pump, etc.) Sorry, I'm new at this.

how much for the rear suspension.....have fox shocks?
joezr2 09-17-2004, 10:10 AM Email sent to Steve
The rear suspension does have Fox shocks. $300 for the rear skid including the shocks. I'm pretty sure all the bearings are good. I replaced a few before last season. One rear spring was replaced and the front arm was welded two years ago. THe limit straps are new too. It has green wheel covers and the purple slides should be still good too. I'll check it over tonight and take pics. Where should I email the pics?

I'd like to point out I HATE msn email. Their photosharing is crap and multiple pics are very difficult to send especially with dialup. I will resend pics of the hood, shocks, brake parts, etc requested above. All pics will be sent in separate emails- one email per pic.
As far as the list of parts, I also posted them on the 2nd page of this thread; There are of course tons of misc parts too that someone may need, like chassis parts (that can be removed), brackets, reflectors, steering parts, I even have a box of random bolts I'd throw in if someone wants em.
Here's a non-complete list again:
efi Motor alone: $500

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SHIP A HOOD?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!
I'm getting estimates of $60 to pack it and then $100 to ship it!!! That's a he11 of a lot more than I was going to sell it for.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
<EDIT> It appears Greyhound will ship a hood for about $30. It has to be boxed and filled with foam peanuts to protect the hood. (THat's a big box and a LOT of peanuts!) They put it on a bus so it has to be picked up in a city they have a station in.
Just figured it would be useful info for others.

catrunner2 01-11-2005, 12:50 PM Engine still available?
joezr2 01-14-2005, 11:50 AM Yes, the engine is still available. I see you are in Wisconsin. Shipping seems to be the biggest obstacle. It will cost over a hundred dollars to ship this engine.
If anyone has shipped an engine cheaper or has ideas on this, I'd be glad to hear them

I do have the front exchanger but it has been repaired. If you put a stud through yours, I suggest JB weld.
I had a rip at an outside lug leaving a "flap" of track with a stud in it. With every revolution of the track that stud hit the exchanger. It cut a groove through all of the fins about 1/4" wide and finally made it to the exchanger itself. If yours had a similar incident, make sure the area you are repairing is CLEAN. Then fill in the area with JB weld. It'll at least keep you riding till the end of the season.
That said, mine is repaired but does not leak. If you still want it, I'll send you a pic and you can have it for $20 + shipping. I'd say try to repair yours though.
Let me know,
Joe
ZR Rider 02-22-2005, 04:20 PM Thanks Joe... mine sounds the same as yours! Besides, they part numbers are completely different, even the hose locations are a bit different.
I'm going to bring it int to our shop here and weld it, then JB if there is any problems!
clampitt 02-27-2005, 12:39 PM need a flywheel, do you still have that?
joezr2 03-10-2005, 08:54 AM I don't want to disassemble the engine to sell parts. I want to sell the motor complete so I don't have parts laying all over my garage.
joezr2 10-05-2005, 12:22 PM Update: the motor and pehiferals have been sold.
I only have mostly small stuff left.
If anyone around Erie needs a hood that has been repaired, I'll sell it for $15 bucks. It's completely sound. It cracked on both sides of the front when it blew all the way open. It's repaired and reinforced. few small cracks also repaired. I can't ship it anywhere so if you're local, come and get it. Heck, I'd take $10. I just can't stand to throw it out becaus eit still looks decent and works perfect. I just want it out of my garage!

I do have the belly pan. Let me take a look at it and make sure there's no cracks in it. How soon do you need it? I'm out of town this weekend (Go Penn State!) and possibly part of next week for work.
I'll take a look tonight and let you know if it's still in good shape.
01adrenaline800 10-06-2005, 05:07 PM thanks no hurry not really lookig foward to changing it. :bash:
