At the end of last year my electric visor and hand warmers stopped working. this year I'm starting to diagnose the problem. All my lights work great everything seems fine except for these few accesorys. I was thinking it might be the voltage regulator? has anyone had this problem or some insight. I can't stand electrical problems,,PLEASE HELP!

I had to replace the regulator on my 00 MXZ it didnt effect the thumb or hand warmers just kept blowing the headlamp bulbs. Check to see if you have voltage and ground to the grips and thumb warmer. Maybee you have a broken wire?

If the fuse is good, then you might check and make sure the ground is OK. If it were the reg. I would think that you'd be blowing the bulbs. Trace the wires from the visor plug back and see if there is a common wire between the warmers and the visor. My 03 shared a fuse with the dash lights and the visor/warmers.

I had a problem with no electricity to anything last year. Sled wouldnt start.

In my case it was corrosion on any exposed wire connections. Also I had my engine apart most of the summer while I waited for RKT to send me back my cylinders and new parts. The spark plug caps corroded inside without the plugs in them.

I ended up casing all wires in the sled, cleaning and putting dielectric grease on all conections. Same for the plug caps.

Then everything worked.
