i was wondering if anyone could share some info about the 04 pro xr 800.like how reliable?how much maintanence?will i like it?is it worth it?or should i just go with the05 fusion?any thoughts would be helpful. thanks

I hve only heard good thing on the xr 800 , I think the only draw back would be the exhaust valves...... But I think if you where to check the valves every few rides you would know when to change them! I dont think the valve problem is wide spread . You will not find a better ditch banger then a xr! out of the box clutching needs a little work for any kind of top speed but corner to corner at speeds under 70 its FAST!

You should not rule out a REV 800HO in the X trim. After all, thats what the 800XR is targeted at but it's not quite there. If ditch banging is your thing - nothing beats a REV.

well i pick her up on thursday w00t i bought the pro xr 800. have to take the long drive up to michigan to pick it up but hopfully it will be worth it. so i will be praying to the snow gods for the early snow.so if anyone has a pro xr 800 or knows anything about this sled im all ear's

The XR is very stiff. Most will want it revalved. The Fusion....who knows? But betting it won't be anywhere near as stiff. The 800 Pro X is fast becoming very sought after. Kinda like the '02 X's were for a while.
