I found a new 02 700 I have a few questions. Are these good sleds any issues? Also I was wondering if it is possible to add reverse to these models? Were can I get the reverse kit from too? Thanks

I have an '01 700 and I love it! 3400 mi and no problems yet. Hope the one you're looking at has DPM it's a nice feature (no re-jetting) unless it's super cold. I know the'02 has better suspension than mine. As far as reverse goes, some of the '02 models have RER but if yours doesn't there is a mechanical reverse available. Try local dealers or ask around here.

I have a 01 MXZ 700 and love it!!! I had 97 Mach-1 before this sled, what a difference. I put 1000 miles on this sled last winter and enjoyed every mile. All my buddies have Rev's and except for in the big bumps this sled is just as good. Most of my buddies are as good and some better riders, I never had a problem staying with them. The 02 rear suspension is supposed to be much better, 13 inches instead of 10. The 700 motor is rock solid.

I had an 02, traded it for a Rev. Even though I like the new sled I miss the 700. It was a rock solid sled. As far as I'm concerned it is the best standard style sled ever made. It felt very light, great suspension, solid engine and in my opinion the best looking sled ever. The rev does kick it's ### in the very rough stuff.
Great thing is that many dealers have some left over 02's and selling them for a heck of a deal. My dealer had some nice left over spring order stuff last spring.

Oh man you picked the right model for sure!!!. My 2002 MXZ 700 was hands down the greatest sled I ever had. Never had a wrench on the motor and almost 5900 miles ( over 9500km's ) on her when I traded it in and still was pushing 140 psi compression on both cylinders. Real strong sled with a great suspension on the 02.

Check the bottom of the pipe at the joint where it meets the y-pipe as they can wear through after awhile and can need welded (minor thing ).

It's just such a great all around sled. Find a good one and enjoy :D

I had an 02 mxz 700, fastest sled I ever owned :) it was also the only sled I ever owned that I studded. Top end it beat all the 800's I rode with including my present machine, the renegade 800, and an 800 Adrenaline  Sometimes I wish I woulda kept that 700 and just longtracked it.

:D I've still got my 700 for sale, I'll cut you a deal  Never hurts to ask. I do agree with others, if it were not for wanting a long track with a bigger paddle, I would hold on to this sled. It will definitly always be one of my favorites.
