I might be able to purchase a 95 ZR700 real cheap in the near future. I was wondering if it would be possible to throw a ETT skid on the 95 700. Is there any difference in the tunnels on the sleds with the old style 8 inch suspension vs the the ETT tunnels? I would think one would be able to bolt on the ETT skid, probly with some drilling and modifications since its basically the same body style as my 97 ZR580 with the ETT rear suspension???????

Somebody spank me if I'm wrong, but I believe it will bolt right in.

That is what I am hoping.

You will need to redrill the tunnel and put some plates inside also so its double walled , these should be pop riveted in. It will not just bolt in . w00t

It may bolt-in, or it may not. Thee are probably slight differences from year to year, but it is an easy conversion and a very well worthwhile conversion from my experience. I installed a TSL skid frame from a 97 ZL in my 94 ZR and it is the best money I have spent on that sled. I had to drill new rear mounting holes as the ZL skid has the rear mounts slightly forward for the softer geometry of that suspension. If I had used a 97 ZR skid frame it should have bolted right in. You need to measure the chassis from the donor sled and match the location from the drive shaft to the front mounts. The centre - centre of the mounting holes needs to be measured on the sled because when the skid frame is out of the sled the mounting points will be farther apart then the holes in the tunnel.

Not sure about 95, but I put a 98 ZR skid into a 97 EXT 580. Support plates inside tunnel already had spots designed for the 98 ZR skid. All I had to do was drill them out! Measure, measure, measure to be sure. I cannot believe how well the sled rides now.

I had wondered the same thing about my 95 ext so i asked the dealer and he said it wouldnt fit b/c the ett suspension uses a multi angle tunnel so it wouldent fit.

I'd like to upgrade the suspension on my 96 ZR580 & I talked to a guy last night who owns a Powersports shop about it.
He said if I go with the fast track suspension, I'd have to put in an ETT tunnel. He said he could sell me a suspension, tunnel, bulkhead, and bellypan from a '97 1/2 for $500. He suggested using this and swapping all my parts from my '96 into it! Sounds like a lot of work!
If I could find a suspension that would bolt right into mine, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

You do not need the ETT, Extended Travel Tunnel for the TSL skid frame. The only thing the tunnel does is allow the rear arm to collapse further, in theory, but it is not required. Without the tunnel you may be limited to 12.5" of travel instead of the 13.5" claimed with the ETT. The guy who told you this does not know what he is talking about, probably because he has not done it before. If you are keeping an old sled around it is a great upgrade. From the prices you listed above you should be able to get that skid frame for $100 - $150, and that is all you need to make it work. Remember to measure the chassis from the donor to locate the holes.
