I just purchased a 2004 PROX2 and was wondering what clever ideas are out there for storage. I like to travel with additional tools, owner manual, tow strap, spare gloves, camera and such. But I am not interested in a saddle bag or backpack.
Is there anything that fits that small windshield?
Has anyone mounted anything under the hood or over the clutch guard?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
David

I have added a Power Madd brand tool box on my 5th Polaris now. It rivets to the clutch cover and holds many items. From plugs, flashlights, first aid kit and misc. parts. It stays sealed and dry, plus gives you the extra room. With removable inserts you can custom fit items. I don't know if the Pro X has the same cover as the Edges or Gen II sleds? If so, it is worth the 30 some dollars.
Good Luck, Mark

:D I just came off a touring sled/rear rack and saddlebags.Loved that storage areas. Now I have an 03 800XCSP and put a Polaris windshield bag on it. Can't put alot of tuff in it but good for small stuff.I also put a PowerMadd plastic storeage box on the clutch cover. It will hold a couple qts. of oil.I also plan on a tankbag. It works real well for a bunch of stuff plus it has a map section on the top of it. I also kept my old saddlebags and on a trip will use them for clothes, gloves, etc.My old sleds rear rack I carried everything, my cover, shovel, spare clothes, oil, and on the way home from a weeks 1000 mile trip up in Ontario, I even found room to bungee on a dropped set of moose antlers which just fell off his head as we were travelling by!! Saddlebags aren't bad but only would use them on a long trip. Good luck.
