On a serious note (Is that allowed on this website? http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ) *In the past year I have known of 4 internet relationships. 3 of them involved married people, two who eventually left their spouses for the internet friend.

The internet friends were from CA, OH, AZ & Iowa. In the fourth case the guy left Ontario to meet the girl in Ohio *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif Got her pregnant, things went south & now he's back in Ontario.

With all the people "out there" in the figurative sense of the term, why would you want to meet someone for romantic purposes that lived halfway across the continent when you've never met them before & have no way to be sure of their background, personality, character, motives, etc. ?

We all *have read in the reputable papers & seen on the TV news about relationships that have gone tragically wrong after meeting on the internet.

Man that picture is almost as bad as having a virus on your computer,

A friend of mine met a girl on a chat room and I think it was the sister of that girl in the picture, he's cured for now.

Not quite that bad Paul, but he learned that anyone can be a beauty queen on the internet but it's in person that counts.

As a matter of fact I remind my teenage boys that any 40 year old weirdo can get on a chat room and say he's 16 and the name is Barbie.
