does anyone know the model number of the fuel pump used on 98 formula 500, mikuni carbs. I"m trying to find a kit for the pump and i'm told it's not available, that i have to buy a new pump, i don't believe that

Mikuni refers to it as a "high supply dual outlet" pump. They say they can't be rebuilt so parts would be hard to find. The diaphragm is sort of stretched into place when they build them which makes it hard to replace (don't ask how I know,LOL). What makes you think the pump is bad btw?

Well, the last run of the year last year, i noticed the sled was "spitting" so i pulled it in the garage, it runs perfect IF I keep giving it some primer, I've noticed that the two fuel supply lines going to the carbs are not flowing with gas. My fuel filter is not clogged, i pulled the line off the pump and checked it, it flowed freely. It seems to me that the pump is bad, but any other suggestions??

How hard is it to replace the fuel pump?? Is it as simple as taking it off and putting it back on(with fuel lines and such)?? Also, are they a rather inexpensive part??
