I have a 2002 MXZ800 Sport without DPM. I rode the sled 1200 miles with no problems. Then, the dealer readjusted the needles. Now it starts harder, plugs run black in the midrange and the gas mileage went south. According to the Ski-doo recall the 800 without DPM should not have been redone. My question is, how do un-do what the dealer did? The dealer won't tell me for fear I un-do it and then have problems and try to warrant it.

You are correct. The 800 without DPM did not need to be adjusted! It takes a special tool to adjust the jet tube to the correct hieght. It sounds to me that the jet tube is too high in the carb, and is drawing too much fuel. They need to be checked again. I would take it to another dealer.
