Well the choice has been made, After riding S-D for years I will be jumping ship & snow checking an F7 next week.
I was wondering what you long time die hard cat guys and gals think or have heard about this sled? Are the Hp#s and weight what we will see when they go into production? How is AC for warrenty work?
Where in southern Ontario would you guys recomend for buying and service?
Any info will help.
Thanks http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

It's a bit of a drive for you 1 hr. *But Dryland Marine in Oak Ridges (Richmondhill) is an awesome Cat dealer! *No complaints & I will be dealing with them for many years to come. *
As for the HP of the F7, Cat always seems to claim the true HP, or sometimes they claim lower than the actual ratings! *If they say it's 138 hp, it will be atleast 138 hp, by Fall.

I couldn't wait till next year, bought a ZR800efi cc. I sure hope I don't have the problems with the shocks I'm hearing about. What do you think about gearing and clutching for this sled???

You should have waited. The firecats are gonna be awesome. I to bought a ZR 800 efi C/C but will be gettin rid of it for a new fire kitty 700. I think they are gonna fly or at least I hope they do. Don't get me wrong, I love my 800, it is the favorite machine that I have owned but lighter is better, in my opinion. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I remember talking with Al Shimpa of Cat and the ZRT600 from Cat was supposed to be 135-140 horse with the Power valves, and even he was pissed off at how production models put out less than 125, and were slower than the 6's without Power Valves. That was only 3 years ago. I hope Cat is not pulling our leg on 500 and 700's. Kick butt if power is all there! http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'm really starting to like the Yellow/Black/White sponsor names look like the one above over the Stars and Stripes red one. Man, I'd love to get some seat time on a tester before next year.
