I've often wondered what constitutes "surfing the net." *I know that when I go online, I'm usually looking up a specific and routine list of sites. *
Typically they include the Yellowstone.net forums, NPS Yellowstone webcams, Blue Ribbon Coalition, Snowmobile world, Mercedesshop, ebay, Musical Startstreams, and newsgroups. *If I break away from this routine, it is usually only to look up a specific bit of info that I may need.
Now, to me, the definition is to just randomly look up sites. *What are others definition of "surfing the net?"
For me, "surfing" defines being bored and following every single link that you see, jumping from one site to another at a speed of at least 2 sites per minute http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Depends. *Tonight, I've been shifting between here and the Mercedes forums. *I'm also watching an auction that is selling a badly needed shop manual on CD for my 75 240D. *I've been looking for tips on fixing a wiring problem to the headlights. *Next, I get to find and fix a leak in the fuel system that is causing the fuel system to lose prime - very bad in a diesel. *Then I get to fix another wiring problem where a previous owner jurry rigged the glow plug circuit. *I'm going to put it back on the OEM glow/start lever. *Then the tranny and oil pan leaks, brakes...... *Project cars are lots o' fun. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Tonight is research, and then general BS'ing with the group both in the MB forums and here. *Not much wandering around the net.

Back in the mid 80s one of my co-workers ran his 6.2 out of fuel on the highway at night. Had to get towed into the next town, get it filled & then prime it. From what he told me, I've always kept in the back of my head even though I've never owned a diesel.

When I picked this car up (bought it on ebay for $310), the other day, it took us two hours to get it started. *While still primed, it'll start instantly. *When I tried to start it the other day, it was dead again. *When I started to pump the primer pump, fuel was dumping out around the cylinder in mass quantity. *I'm going to have to order the fix kit for it. *Only $13. *Never run a diesel out of fuel. *They are bad news to get going again.
