Well its that time of year again. Right now we are infested with Blackflies. Can't even leave the house. Clouds of the evil pests. We have also been infested with crazy biting lady bugs that big brother released last fall http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

Hard to post a vote on that one. *I *really* hate wasps. *They seem to chose to grow their nests everyplace that I normally frequent oustide. *I even found two LARGE, and thankfully abandoned wasp nests behind the passenger side headlight assembly on the Mercedes when I took it apart. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Mosquitos edge them out though. *Those little bitches manage to get inside the house, so I've woke up in the mornings with fresh bites on occasion. *No refuge from them even inside here.

darn mosquitos will ruin camping and fishing trips every time, thats another thing i love about winter and thats no bugs.

it's not that bad yet, since it's still freezing here almost every night, but in a month or so it'll be almost impossible to go fishing without returning full of bites....

Once mother nature un-leaches her useless army of blood sucking, worthless, good for nothing, no purpose on this *earth trouble makers, it might as well be winter.

Black flies bother me, but horse flies take chunks out of you.

The worst experience I had with black flies was the year I put the winch on my truck. It was the May 2-4 weekend. They are all bad, but you can buy stuff to repell most...I chose bees/wasps etc....because I am deathly allergic to them, and can have as little as seconds before death if I am stung.

Have you guys ever heard of B 52's ? 1 1/2" horseflies, first time I saw them, I thought they were bumblebees. Blackflies, all the way. *But atleast they don't last that long.

2nd would be horse/deer flies. *Put on all the repellant you want, and the little buggers will still drive you nuts with their buzzing.

I voted horsefly. *Those things hurt like heck.
Mosquitos don't bother me. *Guess I'm used to them, growing up with them and all.
Gnats can get annoying, when there's a cloud of them swarming your head. *The little tickle every time one lands on your face just gets to darn irritating.

I voted horsefly only because they seem to be at every body of water that swimming is taking place. Other than that it has to be the monster mosquitos we grow here in Manitoba.

I voted Mosquito....but now that I am outside more, those hybrid japanese ladybugs are really getting to be a nuisance.....they seemed to hybernate in my garage right next to the sleds over winter, and when I started the machines, a bunch would come flying out attacking everyone in sight, you gotta hate them. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif

Those dumb ladybugs are all over in my house. *They keep coming out of nowhere. *They're not biting us, though. *They do keep the cat entertained. *My 18m.o. son has eaten a few of 'em, too.

I want to change my answer. *I was outside last night, and the mosquitos were so bad, I about went crazy. *It was 80deg, but I lit a bonfire just to get some protection from the bugs.

Big brother let them loose I think to eat purple lustrife(sp?) but I am not sure. They seem to be biting less now. In the winter I vacumed them out of the window by the hundreds every day. I vote the black flies are the worst. I seem to be allergic to them. I had a bite on my hand that made my hand swell so badly it looked broken, my ankle has finally come back too, so black flies it is for me. I dont have a problem with mosqitos really. *I think im imuned to there poisen. *I dont even feel them.

How ever there is a tie between black flies and the new hybrid ladybug. *

Thoes ladybugs attack and stock you. *I had to get out my electric fly swatter and go to war. *to 3 changes of AA batteries before I got the job done.

Was down at the bushlot on Sunday & noticed that the deer flies were out. Black flies weren't bothersome tough.
