Hi there I'm new to this site and just aquired the following. 75 olympique300 with boogies for 200 bucks spent $65 on a tune up and dealer says it is in very good even excellent!! shape for a 75, says the engine is in great shape and compression is excellent. The track however is cut up and just brittle from sitting and lack of care. I bought it as a beater to get accross the lake to camp (cottage for those below the french river) and for the kids to use around the island and go fishing once in a while. I owned a yamaha venture and used to go out every day, 2000 miles a year but sold it a few years ago to do other things. Now wish I still had it but cost was a factor.
I have a couple of questions that I was wondering I could get answered here.
It needs a new track, ordered today, How do I put it on and where can I find the how to instructions?
how much gas will it burn?
how fast will it go?
does anyone know a good used parts depot?
Thanks in advance for the help

Hi how are ya ? First thing take out the rear suspention should be 4 bolts or so , Then you have to take the chain case apart , take chain and sprockets off , Bottom one will be your drive shaft , so on the other side of the chain case , should be like a cap '' if you have a speedo '' the wire will be going to this cap . Take wire off , unbolt 3 bolts or so . Now you will see the other end to your drive shaft , there might be a big nut holding your shaft in ? take it off , lift back of sled high or tip on one side and get under there and wiggle the shaft out . as for top speed your looking 40ish , Have fun and good luck .
