I have an 01 ZR 800 and I want to take the stock bars off, and put a new set on. I really like the sno pro bars but I've been told that they are too thick for my goose neck???? Is there a way of adapting them for my sled? Can I get a new steering column so it will fit?
I need some help. Are there some bars out there that are comparable to the sno pro bars, that will work?
Thanks
Dave

Brother D, try finding a set from a newer ZR, dont they have the style of handle bars you want? I know my friends f-7 bars will fit on my zr 800, just cant use the riser, his goose neck is wider then on the 01 zr s

See, that's wehat I want. I want the sno pro bars, with the risers. Can I get a set of sno pro bars, anf get the Sport Tec riser to go with it? I know that I'll only be able to go with a 2" riser. Otherwise I'll need a throttle cable extension.

Does Dennis Kirk sell sled bars? I have their catalog and I've never seen them in there.
By the way, Tobie does have some kick ### donuts!

Ya know, I never noticed before, but it doesn't look like DK does have any bars. I just looked at the website and couldn't find any.

Figure out what best suits then stroll on over to ebay...........always lots to choose from.
If the '02 and up set up is what your looking for from time to time you'll also see complete ZR columns there as well.
Happy hunting

To go with the newer sno-pro bars just buy a Powermadd Pivot Adaptor. It bolts to the stock stem and then accept the riser and handle bars off the firecats and 02 Zr's.
The only issue I have read about doing this is with the throttle block. With a one piece throrrle block it makes it very difficult to get over the hooks on the snopro bars.
I've been strongly thinking about doing this update.
