What days are people thinking about going to the Toronto show. Fri, Sat, or Sun.

I had every intention of making it this year, until I realized that that friday is the day I leave for deer camp. Thought of stopping on the way, as I'm going right by, but don't like the idea of leaving all my gear in the trailer in the parking lot.

Damn...

LadyK, DanR and myself will be at the show of friday. I missed it last year for the first time in eons. Look for us around the Snotrax TV booth as we will have SW stickers for everyone. :D

Where are you going hunting ? In the Don valley, Flemington park area :hallo1: :lmao:
But seriously there have been MANY deer in the valley this year. I have read about peeps seeing ten pointers :undercover:

I'm really hoping to split from work extra early on Friday to go down and hang with a few of the good people from SW for a bit.... you know, just to prove to myself (girlfriend and shrink too) that these people I talk to aren't just in my head.... :D

Actually, I shouldn't go anywhere, I watched 5 deer run across the field behind my office last night.

but the deer part is only part of the fun of deer camp. Were going up to the cottage, which is just outside of Sprucedale.

Hey Greg, we should try to get a ride in this year. Seeing as we live so close. Last year didn't get a chance to ride as much as I would have like to, but with a new sled coming this year, I am looking to get out as much as I can. I have a buddy who lives in Burketon that has the trail pretty much in his backyard.

That Burkton trail is one of my favorite trails!! I know it like the back of my hand!
Yah man, sounds good!! We only rode 2 or 3 times around here last year, but I hope to ride more if the snow shows up this year!!
We try to do some midweek rides when the snow is good, but last year it just didn't work out.
We try to run to Uxbridge for a coffee/muffin and do the loop back around through Seagrave and home. Usually 100 to 120 miles in a night!
HaulinA$$ that is!! lol

I'll be there probably Saturday. Does anyone know if they are having the freestyle show this year? They had it planned last year, and I saw the ramp, but no one was jumping it.

I'd go but it would be faster to swim across the border than drive. Thank the striking border workers in Windsor.

Be at Novi though.

I will be going on Friday. I have myself booked out of the office that day.

I will do a quick tour of the show but will be spending most of my time at Royal

Distributing. I will have list in hand. This is one of the few times I like to shop.

I will be there on Friday night - always like going down friday cause the crowds are somewhat smaller. Ive been going since 89 - back when it was at Markham fairgrounds. I have only ever missed one show since then!.

I usually meet some guys @ the Port Perry clubhouse & head east. Maybe we can meet up this winter for a night ride.

BTW, I'll be going to the show on Saturday morning, then heading to Apsley for the deer hunt.

I would definitely be into it. If there is snow I can usually ride from my front door up to the trail. Takes me about 15 or 20 minutes at the most. Do you usually trailer to the Port Perry clubhouse.

Do you live right in oshawa?

Guys, I'm in Oshawa, so I'd have to haul to wherever to start. If I'm meeting a guy from work that lives near Goreski's, I usually unload @ the PP boat launch & ride across the lake to meet him.

When I'm on days & the snow conditions are good I usually bring the sled home w/ me.

BTW, a couple of weeks ago I saw a black GMC pickup in Bowmanville w/ a OFSC personal plate & a AC sticker on the back window of the cap. Is that you?

I just found out yesterday, that there will be no OEM's at the show in Toronto. Any sleds that are there will be from the dealers. Seems that after the fiasco last year, with 2 shows, the OEM's went to the other show, which is now gone after 1 year. Since they jumped ship to the other show last year, the organizers of this show, really jacked the cost up for an OEM to put in a booth. Making it an unattractive package for the OEM's.

Pretty much saying SCREW YOU, you jumped ship, don't come back.

I really feel sorry for the OEMs :p . I guess their marketing budgets must be cut to the bone. How many shows on the scale of the Int'l show do they go to in Canada? I know there are several in the US, but that would come out of the US marketing depts.

Oh well their loss :whatever: .

Two more days to go, I am getting pretty excited. I missed it last year, so its gonna be really good to get back to it. I need some new boots, gloves and goggles. there will be lots of new sleds to look at. The old OEM areas were manned by people from dealerships anyways. Most of the sleds were NOT what you would be buying. They had the wrong motors, basically prototypes.

Just got back from the show a few hours ago. WHAT A SHOW !!!! There are tons of venders with prices that are hugely dropped from retail prices. Plan to spend some time as there is tons of stuff for everyone's tastes!! w00t Everyone that I spoke to is extremely pumped about some of the new products that are coming out as well as the amount of shops that are really going into the custom and personal detailing of their sleds. EXCELLENT SHOW THIS YEAR !!!!!
