Well the the family and I went to Grandforks ND and cruised the malls on Sat. We had to stop at the pet store for kicks and I saw three 8 week old pure bread springer spaniel pups there, next thing you know and the wife had me holding one. Since I just had to put my best friend of 14 years (pure bread springer) down this past winter it was tough to leave this little guy in the store but at 350.00 I had to. I know the price was fair but I just did not have it as the payments must come first. As a joke I asked the sales person if she would take a 500.00 purebread minpin on trade for the springer but she said sorry. Gess I wish I could go get that pup today. I need a new hunting partner. And as far as I am concerned Springers are the best dogs to have around kids.

i like the springer as well, a great camping companion, loves water and fits the canoe well.
i am partial to the german shorthared pointer as *my folks were breeding them.

All Nikita is good for is a garbage disposal. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif

He doesn't even bark at people. *Not worth a #### as a watchdog either (the other two mutts fill in here). *He DOES howl at night - somehting that I think the neighbours just *love*!! *His way of telling you somebody is here is him trying to find the smallest hole to crawl into. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sarcasm.gif

Ahh, the fun of having a wolfdog.
