Sorry to hear about the loss. I'm near St. Louis, so I doubt I'll see it anywhere around here. Either way, good luck getting it back with all the contents.

Good luck getting your trailer back. What the **** is wrong with people. It sure takes a real scumbag to steal someone elses belongings. There's been a rash of ATV thefts in my neck of the woods lately. Some have been stolen right out of barns and other have lost entire trailers. Sorry about your loss and good luck.

Someone stole the (nice, nylon, OEM, padded hood/windshield area) cover off my sled in the back of my barn where I keep my sleds in the summer (the door doesn't shut back there but you can't see it from the road...)

I heard that they just busted a 'ring' of kids up in flint for stealing atvs and sleds..

I just hope that I'm not around when/if they come back because I would probably try to shoot them and they way courts work these days I'd probably be the one who gets in trouble and the kid would get off as being a 'troubled, misguided youth' or something... The sick thing is that many of these kids are using their parents barns and garages to store this stuff. If you're a parent and you kid all of a sudden comes home with a bunch of toys and has no means of income then it's probably time to have a chat with them before you have a troubled, misguided youth peppered with buck shot...

Did you have any locks on the trailer? The reason I'm asking is because I just bought a new trailer and I want to make sure I'm safe.

I can't understand why these no good pieces of %$#@ go through the hassel of ripping off people for the little bit of cash they may make off hot parts. It looks like you had a pretty costly set up and I'm sure you worked for every penny to purchase that trailer and the contents. I think the judicial system needs to be a whole lot harder on thieves like this. If caught all they get is a large fine and perhaps serve a short stint in the slammer. They then get out and go back to there trash way of life.
The only way I have been able to deter the cowardly thieves is to remove the tung of the trailer all together. Yes it is a pain in the butt to keep changing it out everytime I need to use the trailer. However with the way Insurance companies try to screw you when you make a claim and the fact I really don't want to be aggravated with replacing my personal stuff I will deal with the inconvenience.

just goes to show that there are WAY too many rotten apples in the world,,,, these are the ones that you would rather catch and take care of yourself, rather than letting the court system take care of,,,, good luck in getting your trailer back and catching the rotten apples that did you the injustice.

I would love to get these dirtbags in a room for only one minute. It would be the last thing they ever stole. We all work to hard to have this happening to us. Good luck and I hope the trailer is found and returned in one piece.

yep i had a toungue lock but i guess thay can either bust it off or because it takes a 2-5/16" ball they use a smaller ball and get it to a safe place and break the lock there. so who knows

the more articles i read on theft the more i worry about the rest of my stuff, make sure your taking extra precaution with your goods, the extra steps to insure your belongings is a good idea. one story i came accross was these guys stole a brand new truck from a dealer ship, then preceded across the street and stole a trailer, went down to a polaris dealership and filled the trailer with crated sleds and wheelers. some balls ???? i am not going to give up on getting my trailer back, i think people rely on the insurance company to much and this is what the thieves want you to do. i will hunt you down and have fun doing it. :D

I hope you find your trailer and sleds. Last year people were stealing sleds in Western New York, Genessee County area, riding them to my county until they ran out of gas and just leaving them or worse yet, burning them. I think it was mostly kids in this area, but no one was ever caught.

I would look for a stolen section and also post in all of the general forums man
I am insuring my trailer with full coverage so that I can replace it if it gets stolen I couldnt imagine what you are going through
but any way try out these other forums and maby you will get a bite
make sure you point out the flaw in the side of the trailer I would imagine that the decals have been removed if they are smart and probably painted
but that stress crack in the side would be a dead give away
wish ya the best of luck man I would hit hcs though there is more trafic there than most all of the forums gl man

Todd,

I think my trailer was stolen about the same time in Andover. 02 Sledbed with an alum. enclosure. Believe it or not the cops found it and I got it back. Missing the spare and a tie down but I was happy anyways. I never did hear the outcome, all I know is that it was some sting in the area. I hope they nailed his nuts to a post and made him ride a one lunger motoski capri for the rest of his life.
