Itisaca would be the Lake Itisaca, Itisaca State Park area, Park Rapids. Located between Detroit lakes and bemidji. Myself i have never rode there. Most of my seat time is central Minnesota and the U.P. Like I said; anywhere is an option. However we need to move on this and need to get a plan in place before we can go any further.

Unless there's another state park I've never heard about, you must be talking about Itasca State Park.

Phazerhater is familiar with the area, maybe he could give us some insight, such as lodging, trails, etc.

Yep. You got it. It's the state park. However i don't know how far sleds are allwoed into the park. maybe phazerhater could shed more light on this.

Itasca would work the best for me.

Itasca for me thanks. I lovved it last year. As to when. when there is alot of snow.

Sorry for the slow reply, schedule has been insane. Anyway, as for lodging and all that stuff it fills up fast. If everyone wants to go there we need to get a date and some reservations. Most of the motels in Park Rapids have trails right from there and there are trails all over there. So we could go from the motel and ride out to the park and from there the possibilities are endless...given we have good snow. I've done a little riding in the park and know you can ride at least 50 miles all within the park.

50 miles isn't very far. Itasca would work pretty well for me, too. Only 2 hours away.

Trevor, you should lead in getting this going! Itasca and Park Rapids is your area. We should get a date and see if we can get a block of rooms based on those that are interested.

I vote for mid Jan some time.

Let's consider this post closed. We need to get moving on this. It looks like most prefer Itiasca. Sorry can't please everyone. Dates from the other poll prefered Jan. 14-16th. I will be looking into lodging in the area any help would be nice. Try to keep everything under one post which is Minnesota ride pinned in this forum.
