Looks great. What did you use to get it so clean?

Just cleaned the tunnel with a cleaner(I used Simple Green) to get any dirt etc off. Then I polished it with a product called Wicked metal polish and an electric polisher.Took a few hours but it was worth it. When all done I gave it a coat of wax to seal it from the environment, now all I have to do is give it a buff afew times over the winter to keep it looking good.I do this every fall when the weather turns, just for something to do.

Tunnel looks great!

Where did you get your running board covers? I'm looking for some to keep from wearing out boots on the cheese-grater running boards on the newer RMKs.

I got those at Canadian Tire but you should be able to get them at any dealer.I always referred to them as running board trim, don't know what your dealer will call them!

Thanks! When I first got my sled I wasn't too fussy about the aluminum tunnel because it was dull and boring looking. It was quite different than my last sled with the painted tunnel and running boards. But then one of my buddies suggested polishing them up.Now I love it!I also polished under the hood, pipe, belt guard, numbers on the head etc...I wish there was more to polish!

I agree, once you start polishing, it is hard to stop! That looks awesome!! I did mine by hand last year, not quite as good. This year I will be hitting it with a polisher. You say you just use wax to keep the shine on? How long will that last? Just curious I guess. Looks great!

Looks good.

I'd like to do that to mine but I have the yellow running board brace that comes on the X models that's in the way.

Yeah just wax it then a couple times a winter give it a quick polish and it keeps the shine. The trick is to wax it every time you polish it.

I was thinking about taking it off but I'd have to drill out all the rivits and then re-rivit it. Not sure if it's worth it.

It would look very awesome all polished up though.

I do polish what I can get to by hand but it doesn't come anything close to yours without the power buffer.

Don't worry, everything else gets cleaned, polished and waxed as best I can.

I take care of everything I own.

That's good to hear.I thought the brace might have been bolted on,didn't know it was riveted on.Maybe you could grill out the rivets and put it back with some stainless steel bolts that way you can take it off ocassionally and give er a going over.Just a thought! Looks great anyway.
