Ok, got them installed and i must say it was worth it, except i was a lil nervous drilling thru my running boards! but i went slow and did ok....not i am contenplating hooking up a 12v battery seperate (non bat. sled) or going rectifier, reason i am contenplating (sp?) is because i dont want to interupt the electrical and ruin something due to these neon lights, i have 2 yellow wires comming off the transformer and my rectifier has a brown and yellow, it says to hook one up to the brown and the other to ??? (it doesent say) can someone tell me how it is hooked to the rectifier if i dicide to do it...

which lights did you get??? I have snow force and they have a red and black wire that you just splice into the yellow and brown accessory plug.

They are called Sno-Glo from Arctic Cat Themselves

just hook them up and don't complicate things with extra batteries

one is for the + the other the -. the other can be hooked up to your brake light wire. this will cause the neon to change effect. instead of connecting the wire to the tail light you can hook it up to the ground

(thats all i really know. i have hooked neon up onto cars but never sleds. this is how i can hook them up on cars)

there has to be a live wire under the hood. get a wire tester and find out.

well, on the firecats there are accessory plugs and your dealer will have the matching plug (usually they are used for heated shields and such) Yellow is power, Brown is ground. do not ground it to the chassis. I will look for a pic of the accessory plug, i know i put one up somewhere. on the f-cat one is behind the servo and another is behind the headlight cluster.

Is it Sno-Glo, or Snow Glow? Snow Glow is the original, www.snowglow.com. I would be surprised if Cat used "sno-glo" for a similar product, because it would be a risk of getting sued.
If they are Snow Glows that Cat is selling, anyone could be better off talking directly to them.

shaf tech makes sno-glow http://sales.shaftek.com/Current_prod.htm

J-A innovations makes snow force http://www.streetforceleds.com

snow glow are neons, the other two are LED's http://www.snowglow.com/core.shtml

I have seen both sno-glow and snow force, and I must say that the snow force are 10x brighter than the sno-glow. I didn't know that arctic cat was selling neons... both sno-glow and snow force are LED's sno-glow uses a tube with several LEDs and snow force uses a single LED. I have also heard of people shattering the sno-glow tubes, I haven't heard any bad stories about the snow force though, that helped sway my decision towards them.

I have been thinking of getting them for my firecat,,,, but If I do, I will go with the leds rather than the neons,,,, they will handle the ride of the sled a lot better than regualar neons. I will probably go with the company Pyle Lights,,,, I have sold many many sets and yet to have one come back bad,,, and if they do, my warranty runs for a year,,, so no big deal, I simply swap them out!!!

Ya, I'm interested in the Snow Force LEDs, but I don't think they sell them here. Where can I get some? Will they deliver to Canada? How much are they? Are they sold each or as a package (i.e. 4 LEDs for example)?

Thanks....

UPDATE: I found some info on the internet. No need to response to my questions. Thanks anyways.
