I am looking at buying a 97 Super Sport 440. I am wondering how reliable they are. My G/F has not been on a snowmobile before and i want to get something that is light and also reliable. Also what is about the top speed on this sled? I think it will keep up on the trails but the lake might be where she will fall behind. Also is there anything else I should be aware of , or look out for with this sled. Thanks

I think the 440 is one of the most reliable motors you can get.

It should do 80-85 mph. Do you really want her doing 100mph?

I know I wouldn't want my gf going that fast.

without a doubt the 440 is rock solid reliable plus the chassis was one of the best ever( handle excellent )

Btw the 97 Super Sport had the 488 fancool

If its a SuperSport 440 its a 94-96
