And here is my 93 Prowler, I loved this sled so much I added the airbrushing. *For a 440 you could really bang the trails on this sled.

My first was a 1968 Ski-doo. *My dad actually restored it a few years ago, and it ran like a dream. *Then I upgraded to a 1980 Scorpian 440, followed by a 1995 Pantera, and currently a 1999 Grand Touring.

had fun on everyone of them, but it keeps getting better.

My first sled i really didn't own it thou i was the only one that used it and maintaned it was a 89 jag 440 in the long straights the big sleds would kill me but as soon as the trails got tight the story changed. Also it was fun to pull into a gas station everyone else was on empty while i had a half tank left. My new sled that i bought this last winterr is a 96 zr 580 and man is this thing fast but i now am also filling up at every gas stop. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

First new sled was a 88 ski-doo stratos bought it new in 90 still in the crate. Had it until 95 then came my first kid and my toys went bye bye for a few years. This spring i picked up a500 edge left over. got to love those left overs. The first sled that i ever rode was a 72 olympic , then a 74 TNT 340, we also had 75 TNT.First sled that ever scared me was a sno jet thunder jet 440. Can't remember all the mods that had done to it but it was real quick for it's day. We had other sleds to my mom even had a sno prince for a couple of years , it was a pretty good sled until she started letting my older brothers use it. I'll never forgot the look on dads face the day they towed it home and the motor was toasted. * Those old sleds weren't the most reliable but they sure put the snowmobileing bug into me *and i hope i never lose it.

Started on 79 kawasaki invader 340, then an 86 indy 400 (they were the family's ) My "1st " sled was indy 500 in 94, then a 96 xcr 600 sp. Then the wife got a 98 indy 500.
Saw the light in 2000 and got a 600 mxz, then moved up to a mxz700 adrenaline in 2002. Just kept trading up along the way.

My first was a mid 70's TNT 340, then my next was a 79 or 80 El Tigre, been so long ago can't remember exact years. Then a too long dry spell for my ownership, until my current, a 2000 ZR 500 EFI. Have lots of time on friends sleds growing up, riding Panthers, Olympics, John Deere JDX4's and JDX8's, Wildcat, etc. One of my favorites though was a friend had a TNT Silver Bullet...nice sled, wouldn't mind finding one.

I'll have to scan a pic of my 1980 Scorpion Whip I use to have. That thing was fun! I wish I still had it sometimes. That was the only other sled I have owned. So this up-coming season will be my first full season with a sled in a long time. I can't wait!

The first sled I bought for myself with my own money was a 79 440 Invader. The thing was actually quite fast, however it seemed everyone that rode the thing rolled it over on the handle bars...I came to think thats why Kawi put the low windshield on it. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif * My laundry list is,

79 440 Invader
81 440 Invader
87 El Tigre 6000( really liked this sled, did break a crank at 3500 miles though)
89 Wildcat ( ported and piped)
91 EXT Special (ported and piped)
92 EXT Special ( smashed it, total, broke leg)
94 580 ZR ( handled great, didn't care for the motor)
95 XCR 600 ( crank failure at 980 miles)
96 ZRT 600 ( still own, purple chassis, chromed suspension with D&D race motor, project sled not quite done yet)
97 ZRT 600LT ( still own , 2500 miles, good shape, for sale)
99 ZRT 600 ( still own, 1000 mi, Green, mint, for sale)
02 ZRT 600 ( my current trail sled)

First sled I ever rode, 1968 Evinrude. I was hooked. Got a 95 Formula Z 583 the next year then upgraded to a 98 FZ 670 last year. Probably keep it at least another year unless someone wants to trade me for a REV http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

First sled was a 1972 Panther 295w/a Kohler motor,about 1978.
Others worthy of mention-
1976 Evinrude Skimmer 440-anyone remember the stars and stripes paint job?
1973 El Tigre ext 400 free air-dual plugs, carbs and pipes,loud,loud,LOUD!-souped up by local cat mechanic, could argue with Mikadoo's fastest free-air claim
1973 Lynx with a Wankel rotary-bombombabombombabombabom,say no more
1972? Polaris Colt 295f/a-virtualy indestructable
1980 Moto-ski Futura 440-great sled till the wife bent the tunnel doing jumps, she's a sicko on a sled.

Currently have a 1994 Cougar 440-nice reliable sled and my old 73 Cheetah 340,though the all black Earnhardt paint scheme complete with flames and big number "3" is kinda sad to look at. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

First sled to ride was an 80 Ski Doo Citation of my dads. Rode all over with him. Went sledless till neighbor pulled back and let me ride his 440 Polaris Cobra. That gave me the snowmobiling bug. Had to have one. Grandfather gave a 79 340 Kawasaki Drifter. Been sitting for a while. Lots of work. Little riding and lots of pulling and swearing. Piece of crap. Then got 84 INdy Trail. THen 89' Mach I. Best sled Ive had. Also had an 78 AC 340 Jag, 78 Ski Doo 440 Everest. Now working on putting a Mach I motor into an INdy chassie with plans to grass drag. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif

I can back the claim on the early free air eltigre'.and one more thing could prove it if anyone knows where a free air yammy is to run my uncle still has one in mint condition and fast, this thing will run on top with some newer sleds in the 500 cc class.

Back in 74 there wasn't a stock el'tigre made that could beat my stock GPX. Everyone around here had a cat, 440's 400's and 340's, single and dual plugs. They all lost, even if they got the holeshot, I soon caught them and passed like a bullet.

Tip-up town was even more fun, the main sled there was TNT's, beat them too one after another. I'am not bragging, my sled was pure stock and I didn't have a clue then on how to make it faster, just added gas and oil [injected then to] and rode it! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

My brother had a 640 tnt he was pond racin one day when he got the idea that ether=nitrous,he sat there with a can blasting it into the carb going across the lake.
Sounded like a jet, went like ####,lasted about 3 passes then Ka-blooey,talk about your shattered pistons.
Unfortunatly the tigre has long since passed away, but I beat alot of newer sleds with that old beast, the only drag was the pipes exited right in the right bootwell, give you a hotfoot after awhile, but on a cold night look out that thing would scream.
