Steven Hohman 06-12-2002, 01:37 PM The Tigershark waverunners hold up pretty well, not many problems with them. *They may be slow and all, but they are sturdy compaired to the 1996 models of Sea-Doo (No offense given, I just don't like falling off everytime I take a sharp turn with them)
Mighty RX-1 06-12-2002, 02:08 PM Didn't cat stop making them? *If so, there are two reasons to be concerned; *Why did they stop and parts availibility.
Machzzzz1 06-12-2002, 03:51 PM They stoped because they wernt making any money.
I hate to say it but i ride waverunners and seadoos all the time. *
The tigershark is way outdated and isnt as fun to ride as some of the newer ones.
My choice for a PWC.
1. Yamaha GP1200
2. Seadoo (the one with the suspention under the seat i think its the GP.
THese are the ultimate PWC and there fun like you wouldnt belive.
michahicks 06-12-2002, 04:04 PM Tigersharks don't have a very good reputation on our lake...
That and the fact they don't make them any more would have me walking on any deal that wasn't a steal.
AL
Team_Arctic 06-12-2002, 05:52 PM sounds like they arent as good as they look *eh * *i was thinking about gettin one maybe ill look at yamaha and seadoo first
Rocketman 06-12-2002, 09:48 PM I would hold out for that 165HP Honda PWC...that one looks killer, and Honda engines speak for themselves *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
revrnd 06-12-2002, 10:17 PM The HX is one of the models of Sea-doo with seat suspension.
There goes revrnd showing off his SMEism *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif LOL
I would stay away from the sharks. Yam. or Sea Doo *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/exclamation.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
Snow Monkey 06-13-2002, 07:28 AM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif A buddy of mine had a tigershark and had nothin but probs...............go with the sea doo!!!! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Team_Arctic 06-13-2002, 01:06 PM so it sounds like they werent very well made * guess ill just save the cash get the new sled then think about a waverunner maybe a sea doo or if i feel real specail ill get a honda *those engins dont die !!
revrnd 06-13-2002, 01:38 PM I have to admit Ihad to look that up @ the sea-doo website http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I knew it was "H - something"
Steven Hohman 06-13-2002, 04:27 PM Well, if you were looking for a new one, I would go with Sea-Doo or Yamaha, I'd pick the Doo if I were to buy the 3 seaters, because the Yammi's 3 seaters can't do a 360 like the doo does. *But If I were to buy a 2 seater, I'd pick a GP1200, 155 horsepower of pure fun!
The Sea-Doo's GTX RFi (3 seater) would be the way to go for a three seater, I drove a friends 2002 and that thing has gauges for everything! *It's engine is extremely trustworthy, and so is the hull. *The machine would go about 65 on the speedometer.
Now the Yamaha GP1200 has the ponies to push that watercraft across the lake at 70+ miles an hour. *The gauges on the Yamaha are all digital, unlike the doo that has a analog speedo and digital display.
Steven Hohman 06-13-2002, 04:31 PM Now if you want the fastest on the water, get a GP1200, they go for the same price as the XP, but you get 10 more horsepower with the GP, also the XP's suck down the gas, even when you aren't riding it full.
Machzzzz1 06-13-2002, 06:51 PM Or you could get the seadoo RXX which is the fastest watercraft on water.
It makes a 160hp and it might only be a limited build.
If your going to sup somthing up the GP would be better because there is a huge aftermarket for them.

Steven Hohman 06-13-2002, 08:24 PM Machzzzz1, that watercraft is for "racing purposes only" *You'd spend more time wrenching on it than you would riding it!
Team_Arctic 06-13-2002, 08:46 PM That looks like one *sweet pwc !!! super speed hehe
Machzzzz1 06-13-2002, 10:22 PM Steven,
Im with you the GP1200 is my first choice. *But there not the fastest. *I would have bet money on the GP a year ago but since found out the the 135 hp seadoo is faster then the 155 GP because bombardier has a more efficent water inlet system then yamaha. *
But i would still go with the GP and like I said before the GP can be made to go over 80 with aftermarket parts.
Steven Hohman 06-14-2002, 01:23 AM Machzzzz1,
* * * * *I also find it odd that the 135 sea-doo engine in the XP will make it faster than the 155 in the GP. *But since you've brought up aftermarket parts, since the GP is very popular with wrench-heads, you'd be able to buy more and better parts for it.
Machzzzz1 06-14-2002, 01:31 AM I know its weird. *But I lost a $100.00 bet with a friend a year ago. He said the seadoo was faster i said the yamaha because it had more hp. *But i was wrong. *A boat tester that wrote a review on both crafts confirmed this. *
The sea doo system has picks up water faster and more efficent so it need less power to make the same speed. *Plus i think seadoo has a little edge on hull design since they won hull design of the year two times in a row.
