The indy 500 was a good reliable model.

I'm a big fan of the Edge.

I'm a Cat guy, but for Polaris I loved the blue and yellow XC600SP EDGE X model.

I had to vote for the RMK.

My actual fav is the yellow/red combo on the '04 switchback

I think the sweetest looking of them all is the Pro XR. The Verticle Escape was nice too though. Honestly I am kinda partial to the old standard Indy chassis, Basic but still had some style to it, and they still look mean coming up on you in the rear veiw mirror. There were so many appearance mods you could do to them it was crazy. And the Fuji engine was a very good motor, with tons of potential. Anyhow, vote goes to the Pro X.

Anything capable of pulling hard enough to run triple digits and scaring the H##L out of you. Brutal power. There are/have been a few of them. Most easily identified by a major dose of sore wrists and shoulders after a few hours on them.....not to mention the huge grins worn for hours afterwards by their owners.

im very partial to the purple sleds of 97 espcally the ultra sp. even more so since i painted mine purple chrome, and had decals made of chrome, with a chrome windsheild. chrome vent screens... basically purple n chrome everything

I voted for the Fusion... the 'shock' factor must have worn off, because when I saw one 'for real' at the T.O. show, I actually thought it looked pretty good. The first glimpse of the Fusion last spring nearly made me gag... :p

I, like everybody else, am real curious to see how this new chassis works. Polaris was definitely in need of something new and different, they've definitely done that. :thumbsup:

I like the yellow switchback..not on pole tho. fusions look like a firecat that got ran over!

I'm partial to the old wedge chassis cause i've had one for so long,but
I couldn't resist the blue and white 04 xc i bought,polaris should be blue or white,cat should be black,doo yellow,etc...............

On another note i was told the blue and white was a 1 year paint scheme only,anybody know any more about that?

I voted edge because thats what I have,but did ride pro X & thats what turned me on to Polaris.

I only get to choose one??? LOL...Polaris has made so many great sleds over the years, its a tough choice.
I voted for the Fusion. I like the rider select steering, the taller seat, a-arms and the Cleanfire injection. I think that the 600 HO is going to chance the perception of the Fusions chassis. The 600 is the kind of sled that last year's 900 should have been.
The Pro-X was arguable the best trailing arm sled ever made.
I currently own an '01 600 EDGE X, so I like the EDGE too.
Like I said, how can you pick just one???

Edge baby, that's the best, although I have to say that the Fusion 600 Dragon may be the sled to have this winter. Oh yeah, the red and blue RMK/Fusion "racer colors" look a lot better than I thought they would to.

Im in the others going for XCR models

100% going with storm rider. Completely understandable. I went with the others for the wedge style chassis. and i absolutely love my tripple!

You need more choices.

As far as the fastest out of the box stock it was the '98 XC700 with the 220 cylinders.
As far as the best overall, and plush ride: 2003 Edge X 700 with M10. I've driven a LOT of Polaris sleds (I work for a dealer) these models will always stick in my mind as standouts. That '03 X would have been my "perfect Polaris" but I wish it had a bit more top end speed. M10 suspensions inherantly suck up some top end speed.

My 02 Edge has been a nice trail sled. Doesn't corner great. I had a 2000 600 xcsp that was a stellar performer bone stock until I crashed it. :bash:

Well I am still looking for the IQ 440. Thats my favorite! I love the sled. Its the one that brought me to poo.

I'm only new to snowmobiling, so I haven't had a chance to experiment with too many Polaris snowmobiles, however the best looking in my mind is the Fusion; it looks like someone took time to incorporate the vents into the actual look of the machine along with the headlights, which are designed for use more than looks however looks amazingly different from the new "old" IQ look. The Fusion just looks like it's looking back at you some how, as if to say "come on, ride me" the rest look like racing machines, but they're waiting for your input with no input on their own. But you can't judge a machine simply by its looks, so I can't really say which machine is better, just that I like the bizzarre looks of the Fusion... which kind of looks like the new 2007 Arctic Cat for some reason... lol.

One sled that sticks in my head is the old black and red indy650.a real hotrod in her day.a time when polaris was THE sled to have.

The reason why i don't have the IQ is because this poll was made back in 04.5 i think so i didn't really know much about the new IQ 440.

I love the look of my 1997 XCF 440. I really like the 97-98 XC 700's and 600's. It's just something about the white hood and the factory decals.

I agree 100%. I'd love to have a 97 XC 600 with the triple. The most beautiful sled ever, and I've got tons of spare parts.

I love my polaris gettin older. Once i can responsibly afford a new one i will probably choose the top dog polaris sled. I feel guilty sending my money off to asian companies when i should support MN companies (polaris and Artic cat) Im a fan of the doo's and yamahas.(they have certain highlights for my riding style.) i just think polaris has the best support after the purchase for the long run of new sleds that caters to my riding styles in this area.

I like my '99 RMK 700 just fine, but if I could buy a new sled I would get a 600 Switchback.

Who cares what they look like, your not dating it just riding it. I hope that I will really like the switchback I'm thinking about bringing home.

my wife and i both have 93"s.mine is a indy xtra lettuce tomato,580 special.its been an awesome sled.i've taken her to h##l and back.my wifes is a indy trail 500.we both love them alot.but we are buying new ones for next year,and the old ones will become my kids for next season.we are not buying polaris this time.we are stuck between doo and cat.so far i'm liking the 05 sabercats we looked at today alot.tons of storage,suspension was awesome,and who dosn't like the remote electric start.

I don't know where the 600 edge x stood, but the 600 IQ = 120hp and the 700 IQ = 140 hp. Hardly the same.

i like the EDGE the best.

i rode the 06 fst classic and the 900 fusion last weekend both are awesome! and high on my list!

but i think the 95 xlt special is pretty hot looking, pretty chep, and a decent performer to boot. so its my vote.

Our dealer here told us they have NEVER had a 500 XC Liquid come back. Something fishy going on with your sled man.

I get a kick out of people like this. Buy an old sled for cheap, and when there's a problem decide you'll never buy the same brand again.
Too bad that after you own another 3 sleds or so you're have sworn off sleds altogether.

I've learned, time and time again, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. THere's no more dependable sled then a 500 Liquid Polaris.

Well I did not see an option for the 440 IQ. So Other it was for me. Here is the new creation. I wanted it to be unique. Not gonna see another Tangelo Orange and Candy Blue IQ 440 this year.

I thank the 98 xcr h.o look great. Super reliable fiji engines, very good running engines. But as far as a new polaris for looks, i would have to vote for the fusions.

03 XC SP 700 the graphics are better in my opinion than the X package! Like to take them all off and just have it metalic black and, red the base colors!! I think they go a little crazy with decals sometimes! Just a thought!

I had to go with other. I love the IQ 440 Race sled. Looks amazing. i would buy the 600RR if it was a little cheaper haha

my 93 indy 400 was a good sled but now nothing compares to my 07 600 IQ
