I have a co-worker that has a 1992 Wildcat 700 with bored carbs, twin pipes and clutched, it also has 240 studs.
My Formula III 800 is geared down one tooth on top, clutched and jetted spot on. It also has very low miles on it, so the motor has very good compression.
In a long race down a lake, About 1000' or so who do you think will win? The lake will have snow on it, mine isn't studded. But it hooks up well off the line if there is snow. I must have the suspension right by now!
Personally I don't think he has a chance in hell, but I thought I'd see what you guys have to say. :christmas:

You've got him by 2 lengths in 600'. The space just keep getting larger from there on out.

As you run down the lake that cat 700 might shake off enough parts to get its weight down for a competitive advantage...lol
Really now, he'll need an act of god to beat you.

Well I thought it was a joke too, but I didn't want to run my mouth too too much before I found out more about this Wildcat.
So should I race him for papers? or do I even want that POS in my garage? lol

Heh heh,
I don't like to brand bash but I will NEVER forget the time my buddy brings this guy over to run his "pride and joy" Wildcat 700 'cause he'd heard I was a good rider and he was gonna "kick my ###". This was back in MI with the ol' Exciter (569 cc). Well, he left with his tail between his legs grumbling about getting it "set up right". Granted my Exciter wasn't stock but I was very surprised at how poorly those Wildcats ran. The only problem with embarassing him the way you're gonna is that he'll be over to the Cat dealer the next day trading it in on a new F7!
Have fun,
G

It's going to be a slaughter. Go easy out of the hole for a few feet.

Now I can feel safer when I say I'm gonna smoke him when I see him at work.
I say bring on the F7 too, If I put the triple pipes on it I'll have no problems with that I think. It will be close though. Soon as I pipe it, it's a mach Z
